Best Buy are liars, I should know because I worked for Best Buy >_> I would of rather shoved rocks up my butt, then to work for them now that I know what it is like to work at a better place. Oh well, I did not have much choice when I was 16.

Best Buy made a mistake on their website, and you are pissed off that you didn't get you $3000 ($1800 on sale) TV for almost nothing.

The reason why people would by the $10 TV is to get compensation for the mistake. I think amazon will give you a ten dollar gift card if they have to take back you order and its their fault. I doubt most people believed that they were getting $10 TV's.

Not all journalism. That's a blanket statement if there ever was one. You really should research the field more carefully if you are going to make a career out of it. There is a difference between generating interest and deceptive exaggeration.

Ever pay your bills with automatic withdrawal? Sometimes billing errors occur and you get overcharged. You've just been overcharged on your utility bill $500. But the payment went through. Because it did, should you get your money back?

If BestBuy was forced to honor a price mistake such as that, any disgruntled employee could bury that company in an hour. Heck, an overseas hacker could destroy every online company this way in minutes.

'is there a marriage rift? Why is she so unhappy with him?' taking pictures totally of out context.

Sure, technically the stories may be correct, and on occaison they live up to the headline, but more often than not, its just deceptive, and respected journalists don't need to play such games to be successful.

I'm not angry at all. Maybe you are projecting? I'm just responding your posts and saying what I mean without fluffing it up with catchy headlines and colorful techniques. It's a fairly simple concept.

But the fact that you have to explain what you were trying to say in the first place exposes the downside tothe 'fairly simple concept' of 'today's' journalism.

I disagree. Because what prevents a disgruntled employee from changing the prices and telling people on bargain sites?

or what prevents a hacker from another country hacking in an online web site, changing everything to a penny, and then purchasing the entire inventory?

By those rules, it wouldn't even be worth it for a company to sell anything online. Why risk it?

It's not like BestBuy benefitted in any way from this mistake. It brings embarrassment and annoy's consumers, but it's just a mistake and I don't think anyone was really harmed or caused damage by trying to buy something that is ridiculously priced low.
