Omg I'm calling it. It's Bangkok. Man this city is so fucking amazing. Can't imagine a better city except maybe Hong Kong or something.

Honestly the only solution I see is to nuke every other place on earth. Cause people shouldn't be not in Bangkok. This city is so amazing. Msmdmmssm.

I don't mind cities. I just don't want to live in one. I've been to Manila. Just as crowded as Bangkok, even nastier traffic jams. But, New Year's Eve is the best compared to any place in the world.

20 years ago I'd say where I live (Vancouver) would be a strong candidate. There are times of the year when you can go skiing in the morning, then play golf in the afternoon, all in direct proximity to the city itself.

however, its been ruined by Chinese foreign investors who broke the real estate market and turned the city into a commodity. most people who live here are wealthy immigrants, many of the locals have left due to how expensive it has become.

for the record I have nothing against immigration, but I do dislike the idea of Real estate being seen purely as a investment/means of making money, especially when the people doing the buying/selling don't even live here.

Not calling you ugly, but even if you were, they'd still drool all over you. Same thing in Vietnam and other relatively poor countries.

Yeah, this is becoming a problem pretty much everywhere. New Zealand even recently changed their government after an election ran on this very issue, such is this problem over there.

Vienna, Austria is a strong contender for #1. It's affordable, diverse, has beautiful landscape and architecture and is full of life, art and culture. The living standard is high even for someone who is working a regular job.

I've lived in Shanghai for 5 months, the experience was surreal, don't have a lot of other cities to compare to, but I loved it

While Bangkok is a lot of fun as a tourist, it's a shit place to live in. Singapore is both great to visit and to live in, albeit expensive.

As i've haven't traveled enough to know, i cannot answer that. But raised in SF, and still working daily in SF near the clock tower, i have to say SF Rocks. We get all the tourists, and people are just full of excitement here. All the best holiday decorations, inside the malls, and the streets. SF has to be at the top level of best cities.

Queenstown, New Zealand. You can do everything here: bungy, skydive, raft, trek, aerobatics... And the small city itself is always buzzing with travellers.
