Recently I went to go see Kiss, and this by the way was my first concert I have ever gone to.

Without a doubt, I was blown away. It was epic, it kicked ass. Indecribably memorable.

So for those who have been there and done that many times already, what was the best concert you've ever been to?

Rock the Bells in New York last year. Every performace was on point and seeing Rage Against the Machine was seriously one of the most intense moments of my life.

I saw a japanese drone metal band called boris - that by far was the loudest I have ever heard - easily louder than a train crash, but kickass as all hell at the same time

Pearl Jam at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan a couple of years ago or so. The entire band sounded awesome and they appeared to be genuinely excited to be on stage. The best was at the end of the concert after the encore. The house lights came up and people started to leave, but then they came back out on stage carrying chairs. They all sat down and Eddie asked "You don't mind if we sit and jam for awhile, do you?" The place went nuts! So they played another half-dozen songs or so with the house lights still up. Grand total they played for about four hours I'd say. Edit: I found the setlist. 05.19.2006 - Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI Pre-set 01 Eddie solo: Dead Man, I Can't Explain (by The Who) 02 Eddie w/ My Morning Jacket: It Makes No Difference (by The Band) Set 1 03 Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town 04 Given To Fly 05 World Wide Suicide 06 Life Wasted 07 Severed Hand 08 Sad 09 Marker In The Sand 10 Red Mosquito 11 Even Flow 12 Love Boat Captain 13 Corduroy 14 Daughter/(Blitzkrieg Bop)/(I Believe In Miracles) 15 Army Reserve 16 Green Disease 17 Why Go 18 Inside Job 19 Rearviewmirror Encore 1 20 Sleight Of Hand 21 Off He Goes 22 Around The Bend 23 Parting Ways 24 Hard To Imagine 25 Crazy Mary 26 Alive Encore 2 (with the house lights up) 27 Do The Evolution 28 Comatose 29 Satan's Bed 30 Leatherman 31 Blood 32 Baba O'Riley 33 Yellow Ledbetter

Fair enough, assuming they come to the UK I might go see them. I've never seen The Cure in concert.

As much as I'm ashamed to say this, the best show I've sen was Sean Paul! Everything was perfectly set, the lighting was incredible, the dancers, the set, etc.

I'm not usually into his music, but he was the opening act to a Mariah Carey show that my ex wanted to see, so I bought tickets. I hated Mariah Carey, but SeanPaul's part was incredibly surprising.

My best show ever is definitely our Cure show last May.

My wife had previously been to the Swing tour (Montreal) and one of her acquintances saw both the Disintegration tour and the Kiss tour (also in Montreal).

I'm just going to go with the last one I saw, Circa Survive, since it was a small crazy venue.

The other's (Metallica, Tool, Buzz Bake Sale) are mostly a blur (no I wasn't high or drunk).

Tool was great, but I was in the seated section (took place in a big stadium), so the energy up there wasn't that high. The pit looked crazy though.

Nickelback was absolutely incredible. A sold out stadium singing "If Everyone Cared" was insane!!! Their live vocals are the best I've ever heard, and the energy was electrifying.

Hurt at a local club was pretty good as well...Great band.

That sounds like one of the most horrible shows ever.
I wish I would've been able to see so many bands back in the 90's, it sucks being 13 and 90% of your favorite bands are broken up.

I have to say it was when I saw Enter Shikari the first time they came to America. The bar they played at had like 20 people, I was right in front of the stage, I got to meet and talk to the band afterwards and it was just an awesome show. My other favorite was Ozzfest 05, I got to see alot of bands I like including The Black Dahlia Murder and I finally saw Iron Maiden live. It was simply great.

Eric Clapton was amazing live also when I went to see the new Guns N' Roses they opened up with Sebastian Bach which was pretty sweet and then GNR played about a 4 hour long set. No joke - every song from Appetite and all the other originals plus a good hour + of Chinease Democracy - all unreleased music it was awesome. Axl still has it and his new band is really good but I would still love for Slash to team back up with him - With Velvet Revolver now done I wonder if its a possibilty.
