Kansas was amazing.famicommanderThey playd a rib festival a couple years back.....anything but amazing.
I've never been to a concert :(.
I nearly went to see Velvet Revolver but a few days before they came it was cancelled. Scott Wieland was going into rehab. Then I thought I would use the money to see Ozzy instead but it was 18+. Argh!
Fragility era Nine Inch Nails.Samwel_XThey came to Columbia during that tour. It was a very awesome show.
I've also seen Slayer, American Head Charge and Hatebreed at Harpo's in Detroit, Michigan. That show had a brutal pit. Dragging people out of it unconscious brutal. I just sat back on the ledge between main floor and the second level and watched. It's a small place and it was LOUD! This is a pic taken from nearly the exact spot I was sitting (taken from the Harpo's website):Bane_v2
That pit looks insane. You can just see random limbs flying at other people.
I cant pick one. It's between...
Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band is super tight and I've loved their music ever since I heard BSSM. I just wish I was concert going age back when Mofo Party Plan and Mother Milk came out...Gnarles Barkley opened for them at one of the shows I went to. Which obviously made it all the more kick ass.
When I saw Rob Zombie I was lucky enough to catch him at a tiny venue. It only held 3000. He played for like 2 and a half hours, it was amazing.
The Sword. OMFG. I saw them in the tiniest tiniest club I've ever been to. The crowd was great, and so was the band. I had a swordgasm. Get it? It's a play on words? lol?
Earth, Wind and Fire. Saw them in a little bar kinda place a couple years ago. I coundn't believe a band like them was playing at such a small place. Amazing show. Now they're on a stadium tour, if Im not mistaken.
George Clinton & the P-Funk All-Stars were the **** too. I mean...seriously do I even need to explain why? They are the FUNK.
EDIT: David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails should probably be on the list too...I've seen so many good bands. Aerosmith too.
I went to see Suffocation when they did the Suffocating the Nation tour (United Kingdom) .. This was my first real death metal concert and I really didnt know what to expect.. Anyway when I got there there the venue was jam packed with scene kids and big mid 30's metal heads. I was probably the youngest there (15). After the support bands (Annotations of an autopsy & Trigger the Bloodshed) Suffocation came on, the whole venue turned into a huge **** moshpit people were going crazy.
it was the best night of my lifeVileEffigy
Lucky, I want to see Suffocation really badly
That pit looks insane. You can just see random limbs flying at other people.AirGuitarist87It was definitely not something I wanted to get in the middle of. I was happy watching, which was almost more entertaining than watching the bands. The women we were with took refuge in front of me since I was sitting about chest height to the pit and could stick my legs out in front of them to help keep the moshers at bay. Oh and it was Chimaira, not Hatebreed, at the show. Slayer, American Head Charge and Chimaira.
oh god, they were all so good..
probably Project Revolution 2007, just because there were so many bands that put on some great shows and Alexisonfire
I've been to too many to pick a favorite. Some highlights, though, are...
Killswitch Engage/DragonForce/Chimaira/He Is Legend
Eric Clapton/Robert Randolph & The Family Band
B.B. King (Twice)
Smashing Pumpkins
Peter Frampton
Megadeth
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
I'm going to see Radiohead and Wilco this summer, and those should be awesome as well.
One guy posted Dream Theater/Opeth/Between the Buried and Me as his favorite. He's one of the luckiest people in the world.

Haha aww aren't you the little knight in shining armour? :D
My mate's really into Slayer and he lent me a live DVD. If I remember correctly, don't they have ambulances on hand at every Slayer gig because of the mosh pit?
