What's the best live music performance you've been to? For me it was def. Iron Maiden last year, for their Somewhere Back In Time Tour. We couldn't get very good seats since they sold out in like a few hours, but just the fact I got to see my favourite live band play was incredible. The show that they put on was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Other than that, Gigantour last year (my other two favourite bands In Flames and Children of Bodom at one show) and Opeth were both really kickass. Going to Opeth, I wasn't a huge fan, hadn't heard much of their stuff, but once I saw them they went to one of my favourite bands. I really wish I had been more familiar with their music at the time:(
But what about you guys?

Each concert I go to seems to just get better. So I have a hard time just choosing one. Recently, Escape the Fate, Alesana, Silverstein, Chiodis, and A Skylit Drive performance was really sick. Probably the best though I guess would be when I went to see Silverstein and Rise Against. Silverstein is so damn good live.

Rush, then Joe Satriani. Then the Progressive Nation tour (Dream Theater, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and Three)

"Lord of the Rings: Live" where the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra played the entire score from the first LotR film while the movie played on a giant screen. It was epic beyond all means.

However, come April 11th when I get to see the WSO perform Beethoven's 9th Symphony, that will take the cake... several times over.

I feel the exact same way about Opeth, I only knew about 5 songs of theirs when I saw them, but it was still awesome. I think that Rush has been the best though, on their Snakes & Arrows tour.

Pearl Jam, 2003, State College, PA. They played for 3 and a half hours. It was by far the best concert I've ever been to.

I cant really name my favourite, as i've massively enjoyed them all. The only concert i've ever been to which i didn't love was the Foo Fighters, mostly because they were a little big-headed and picked a venue they couldn't possibly fill, so the resulting show was all a little underwhelming. I've seen Muse twice, once in Wembly stadium; both of which were as good as a concert is ever going to get. I also went to the Benicassim festival in spain, which was one of the best weeks of my life. I saw Justice, who were incredible, the raconteurs, gnarls barkley - they were both extremely enjoyable as well. Queens of the Stone Age were brilliant too. Really intense and really good at playing their own songs live; Josh Homme was a douche though.

My Morning Jacket at Bonnaroo last year. Nearly 5 hours in the pouring rain till 5 in the morning. It was the most epic thing I've ever experienced.
