I really don't think I've seen enough to make judgement. The Incredible Hulk was pretty good...

EDIT: The Dark Knight was also very good, but it was too fast paced for me. Too much focus on the action.

The only really good film I've seen so far this year is Funny Games...

Although I am yet to see Wall-E and The Dark Knight...

The Dark Knight>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all other summer movies.

EDIT: any movie that will EVER be released. Heath Ledger will win the Oscar or the Academy Awards are rigged.

Don't worry, he's gonna win.

To be fair, I haven't watched too many movies this year, but...

I think WALL-E has won so far for it's ability to convey a beautiful story through silence, ambience, and pristine visual effects. But don't get me wrong, the year is far from over.

The Dark Knight and Harvey Dent/Two-Face is not dead and he will be one of the villains in the next Batman movie along with The Joker and I heard the Penguin will have a small role.

So I finally saw the dark knight and overall...I loved it! It improved on batman begins in every way possible and its probably the best batman movie I have seen. Though I wouldnt call it the best film of the year so far it is up there. I still liked Transsiberian and In Bruges a bit more. Heath Ledgers joker performance was great though it was a little overhyped. I would not call it the best villian performance but it is definetlly really good. I think one of my favorite villian performances is Rutger Hauer in the hitcher and Gary oldman in the professional.

though the best films of 2008 are coming out later this year we still have a few gems this year. This is my top 10

1. In Bruges

2. Transsiberian

3. The Counterfeiters

4. Son of Rambow

5. Encounters at the end of the world

6. The Signal

7. Diary of the dead

8. The Fall

9. Tell no one

10. Doomsday (Ditto with this homage heavy 80s style action flick)

I have not seen the dark knight yet or hellboy 2. Iron man for me was fun but not that great. Robert Downey Jr. was the great part of the film while the rest was pretty good.

Film-Guy

cool list, i also want to see every one of these movies

I just saw The dark Knight and must i say, the greatest batman film ever created, Heath Ledgers performance was outstanding I actually sometimes forgot who I was watching the batman with the joker. It was just amazing. The dark knight is my 1# movie of the year.

I actually haven't seen it yet, it didn't perk my interest from the trailers and all. However, I may check it out, you seem to have good taste in movies.

I enjoyed it actually because of it how in bad taste alot of it was, it didnt care how blatant and ridiculous it was as long as it was entertaining.

I've seen every blockbuster this summer except for Wanted, and I have to say that The Dark Knight was my favorite. It was just that amazing. Hellboy 2 was great, along with Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, and Get Smart was hilarious, but I felt like The Dark Knight was deeper than any of those movies, while also providing the same amount of entertainment and thrills.

5) INDIANA JONES, good ol fashioned summer movie fun 8/10

6) HAROLD AND KUMAR 2, tons of laughs 6/10

7) JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 3D, obviously made for kids but good fun nonetheless 6/10

I work at Blockbuster, I know this sounds bad but i always mix up which movies have come out this year. but here is my list

in the Theaters

The Dark Knight-wow greatest movie I have seen in a long time my favorite superhero movie. Heath Ledger was amazing. This will be hard to top.

Get Smart- Awesome I loved the TV show this was perfect adaptation. It wasn't quite as good as the TV show but it was so much better than I expected. Anne Hathaway was incredible, and Steve was so funny as always.

Wall-E- one of my fav Pixar's so unique from any of them

Iron Man- Great Summer Movie

the dark knight was the only movie that has wow'ed me this year. other comic book movies have made the step of listing the moral responsibilities of a superhero, but they would apply to any superhero. the dark knight does that and makes the next step. it compairs and contrasts batman in particular to those moral responsibilities. the fact that it handled so many characters so well doesnt hurt either.

People actually liked Get Smart? It was terribly corny and cheesy, I hated it.

I have two movies this year that I can't stop awarding praise to: Dark Knight and WALL-E.

I can't decide between Wall-E and The Dark Knight. Wall-E was beautifully done, while TDK was probably the most exciting movie I've ever seen.

Seriously, TDK creates tension and then adds on to for 2 1/2 hours until it's at a breaking point. Loved every second of it.

Wall-E, on the other hand, was probably the most touching film I've ever seen.

Both are some of my new favorite movies ever...it's been an excellent summer for movies.

The Dark Knight is my favorite movie for 2008 I do not think any movie can top it this year.
