Yea I have a female best friend now I don't know how it happened because she used to hate me when my sister would bring her over in the past. Some things happened and she moved in with me and my sister down the line. Then for some reason we became best friends and started to hang out quite a bit. She moved out and got an apartment and we still hang out but mostly at her apartment more than mine.
I have plenty of friends of the opposite sex... where we all hang out as a group if we go out somewhere. Or I can hang out with a friend of the opposite sex to do something during the day like maybe go to the mall or see a movie or have lunch. But I think it would be weird to have a BEST FRIEND of the opposite sex where you just hang out with each other all the time. Seems like that would get weird.
God, no, I have no interest in friends of the opposite sex.xaosThat's funny. I thought gays would be very popular with women, from a friendly perspective.
makes sense. it's like a sibling, but for most people it's too complicated for them to wrap their minds aroundThis really annoys me. I have one, he's like my brother, I share everything with himand my other friends (who are girls) always question our friendship.
"Will you date him?"
"No."
"Ever?"
"No."
"Like ever, ever?"
*rage*Now, this brings me to the question; do you have a best friend of the opposite sex?
If so, do you get those stupid questions like me?

[QUOTE="v13_KiiLtz"]Have you tried viewing it from their point of view?MrsSolidSnakeYes. And they know I like one of his friends anyway so the on going questioning is rather pointless. So this means if it turns out he has feelings for you you'll friend zone him amirite??
Best friends? no, friends? yes.
I have more then a few female friends, to me it does not really matter what sex people are, as long as we have shared interrests.
I have a golden rule with friends, never, ever try to advance those kinds of relationships, it nearly always end badly, and you are one friend short.
Besides my three best friends, the majority of my other friends are girls. I think for my best friend's going away party the guest list had like forty girls and eleven guys. Honestly, the ratio is very lopsided in our group. As such, I don't get much of any flack for having mainly friends of the opposite sex, except from the other guys on the cross country team. It sounds like you might just have immature friends. :P
Since I don't categorize my friends (none of them are "best friends"), I have many very close and good friends and a good number of them are female. Once you grow out of the high school drama and mature as a person, you'll realize its very possible to have female friends. Even if it got sexual on some occasions, if two people can keep it platonic and be adult about it, no feelings can get hurt. Granted this is rare, because people get dumb about it usually.
Yes, i have mostly friends of the opposite sex, i like to surround myself with boobs.

A lot actually. Strange thing is, most of them are in relationships and I'm one of their best friends. This year, i completely ignored one of my [former] best friend of the opposite sex because her motives were so flawed that I had enough. The most FLAWED motives.
I have a female best friend, do I like ever?- yes, would I date her?-yes, would I do her?- always dreamed of, but sadly she is a lesbian :( aint that some bull?J-WOWI've never known a lesbian in my life that I found especially attractive, although I did ask out a lesbian once even though I didn't know she was a lesbian.

I wouldn't friend zne him either, I'd tell him I don't like him in that way?

One of my best friends is a girl and I will admit I often have sexual thoughts about her. In fact the only thing holding me back from fulfilling these thoughts is the fact that she has a boyfriend and he's also a good friend of mine. Sometimes she will flirt with me hardcore like give me massages and go on top of me thrusting but I tell her to stop before we both do things that we'll regret. This leaves me to believe that unless the girl is completely unattractive, members of the opposite sex can never be textbook "friends" because sexual thoughts will always creep up in the back of their mind at some point or another.
I dont think its possible to be just best friends with the opposite sex, i have plenty of girls that i consider friends and when i think about it, i have fooled around with just about every one of them. Maybe im just gifted with women but i dont see it happening to me anytime soon, and i dont see how others can do so.
*edit* unless the guy is gay or the girl is a lesbian (which wont stop a straight guy from pursuing her)

Well, there are 3 types of Lesbians, the tom-boy ones that cut their hair like a guy, dress up like guys and are too cocky about it, then there are the normal looking ones that look like your average good looking girly girl on the street, they are feminine, and well the act and look like straight girls, then there are the ones in between, the are a mix of the two I mention, basicly a little tom-boyish but still feminine with "nomarl" girl stuff. Of coures I would not be attracted to the wanna-be males lesbians, who would?

That's not how I define it :| , but meh. I know it's not like that between us because we already discussed this. The only reason we're best friends now is because I liked him a while ago and it just didn't happen. Most of my friends are of the opposite actually. I would say 80% of my friends are girls. And 85% of them are actually hot.
