To me, the best one is Mortal Kombat, the first one. I loved the soundtrack from that movie. Also, the second one was alright but not all of the same cast of actors returned.GIJesse77
I think that's the ONLY one that's faithful to the source material. Everything else has either taken too many liberties with it (Resident Evil) or totally tossed out the original concept altogether. (BloodRayne). It's not high art, but it IS watchable.
Clue the movie. It went from Clue the board game, to an awesomely hilarious movie with an all star cast!Mumbles527
I think it's funny that a movie from the 80s based on a board game is better than most modern movies based on a video game. Who knows, they might make an adaption of Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders....
I think Hitman has a good chance of becoming that movie.shockwave04
As long as they don't have any unnecessary modern action film staples (ex. wire-fu, CGI effects, etc.) It might work.

I was going to go with Mortal Kombat, but then I changed my mind at the last minute to Silent Hill. I honestly believe they did a fantastic job with the Silent Hill movie.Â

I was thinking the same thing .. they sure know how to ruin movies with alot of flash & no substance.I was going to go with Mortal Kombat, but then I changed my mind at the last minute to Silent Hill. I honestly believe they did a fantastic job with the Silent Hill movie.

edit: to answer the OP's question; my favourite game to movie adaptation would have to be Street Fighter: The Animated MovieÂ
[QUOTE="bluezy"]Either Resident Evil or Tomb Raider.GIJesse77
Tomb Raider was kind of boring to me. I fell asleep the first time I watched it.
You slept in a movie in which angelina was running around in tight shirts and small shorts? :|Â

I covered my eyes, the sight was too horrible. Angelina is meh.

Anyway, I haven't seen any good game->movie movie, none whatsoever.Â
Mortal Kombat easily. Back then they actually did take the time out to think about what people liked and would enjoy. Now it's just anything to make quick money.
I'm also quite tempted to say Super Mario Bros...
Silent Hill was pretty leet, but my favourite movie of all time was Spirits Within. People complained about no swords, no blizzara and stuff like that, but it captured Final Fantasy really well. I thought.OfficialJab
The problem with Spirits Within is that it shouldn't have been a Final Fantasty movie. There really was nothing Final Fantasty related except a guy named Cid (or Syd or whatever). The movie in itself was good, but it was instantly dismissed by many Final Fantasy fans excepting at least a small amount of fanfare.
