oh and Desert Eagle
Mine is either the HKMP5 or the HKM416(M203). The amazing CQB action of the MP5 and the unmatchable recoil-control,Accuracy and stopping power of the M416(M203).Darrenmol
Sadam owned a golden silenced MP5

Yup it was, had a golden silencer, 50k for just the silencer i think :?
EDIT: £50k
M1 Garand
Ak-47, had acceptable range and accuracy, but was extremely reliable and was designed to not jam.
9's arent really a man stopper for half the people that shoot them. A majority of them are in the hands of inaccurate novice type people who just pray and spray.
Really the only place they are applicable imo is for home defense in an urban setting where projectile penetration is a concern ( ie apartment buildings where people live above, below and to the sides of where you might be shooting an intruder.
As far as handguns are concerned im partial to the Kimber .45acp 1911. Its essentially fault proof, reliable as can be and has enough punch to put a dinner plate sized exit wound in pretty much anything or anyone you shoot with it.
For CQB i prefer a tactical shotgun.
Anything past 100 yards i like a 7.08mm which is a smaller projectile but extremely accurate. The one i range shoot with is floated on a carbon fiber stock with a bull barrel and Pentax milldot optics. With sand bags and allowing the barrel to cool between shots i can shoot a 3 shot group at 400 yards and have the holes touch each other. Anything over 800 yards and droppage becomes a problem though.
sa80, british infantry gun or the m1garandHelbrecYou're kidding, right? Even though I am English myself the SA80 is in no way a good rifle.
Looks are the only thing Deagles have going for them. They are probably the most overblown, impractical and non functional cartridge based weapon on the planet.
They have an abysmal recoil : poundage ratio, terrible second shot acquisition and are so hot loaded they tend to jam if you cycle more than 2 or 3 clips through them in rapid succession.
Automatic Kalashnikov Model 1947 (AK-47)
It is not the most accurate. It doesn't shoot as far as a Barret. It isn't compact like a MP5. But it worked. Well.
It couldn't be broken, it was cheap to manufacture, its 7.62 round could stop a water buffalo. And even though it possesses these qualities, it's still not the reason it's the best. It is the bringer of revolution, and defense. Whether it be peaceful or not. Whether in the hands of an honorable freedom fighter or the dirtiest of terrorists. Its iconic status has made it what it is. The center of the flag of Mozambique, the name of children in Africa. Go up to anyone on the street and ask them what an AK47 is, and I guarentee you they'll know. And while that is impressive, it is also extremely sad that such a violent peace of equipment is so widespread.
I'm british so have never fired a gun but i'ld say for a hand gun anything that is reliable and acurate is good, maybe a revolver of some kind or a H&K semi-auto, a laser targeter would be nice too as i've learned from crysis that as long as it dosn't show your possition too much then it's a god send for acuracy. I guess other than that would be some sort of shot gun, nice and easy to use for home defense, if i could strap a pistol to it or use one at the same time that would be good too as i'ld want something to cover me as i pump in the next shot or if it's an auto and get's jammed.
Something i'ld like to try would be the XM8 though, as long as it's light then it would pretty much be the perfect gun for me, anything that i could use as a semi-auto sniper would be great for a range and is always the way i play games too, quick singles shots.
there u go

i'ld hate to carry something like that, it looks really heavy and if you drop it and you're wearing a strap you could get a chainsaw in the leg

well pretty much anything in the main military is pretty old, looking to special forces shows you what the good modern weapons are
Can't believe no one mentioned the Gravity Gun.
My second choice would be the Springfield M14. 7.62x51mm round, more range, stopping power, and accuracy than the M16, and no rifle is sexier. Only real drawback is the weight and handling during CQB.
