Whatever language R2D2 spoke.

I find Spanish is a good language as it has a lot of information in its words. For example, instead of having the words "brother" and "sister" in Spanish there is just the one word with the end letter changed to identify gender - "hermano" and "hermana".It isn't perfect (there are two verbs for "to be" - ser and estar), but it is better than English IMO
[QUOTE="Anti-Venom"]sign languagewstfldSomeone told me that each country has different sign language. Is that true? If so, that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Because sign language is based on other specific languages. Like American sign language is based on American English. How exactly would a Japanese man understand hand sign based on a language he's never spoke?
Good luck measuring all the above. I think its impossible. Not which one is your favourite or which one sounds best, but which one is the best based on things like:
- How fast can ideas be communicated
- Ideas divided by letters or time to speak them (how long does it take to explain and idea)
- Amount words that are distinguishable from one another as not to cause confusion
- Ability to be relatively easy to learn
- Ability to communicate complex ideas more easily
English is the only language I know well enough, and I think it's good but I'm just curious as to what the best language out there actually is.

Thank you Dudesons! :D
:o How did you know?![QUOTE="Espada12"]Why Japanese? I know many who have tried and failed to comprehend the language.Between japanese and german for me.

I like the sound of both, and they are very "aggressive" languages if you must. Plus I like practical languages, 25% of europe speaks german and Japan is an economic super power who happen to also be very traditional in a sense. From my short interaction with them in a company I used to work for, they respect you alot more if you know their language and culture (I didn't, our international rep did however.)
English is the easiest
German is the strangiest
Spanish and Italian are the funiest
Greek are the more perfect and hardest in terms of grammar.
Those arethe 5 languages I know so don't believe me:P

:o How did you know?!'Cos that's how I learned it, and we are both from the same generation so we probably watch/watched somewhat similar stuff. :P
Well, I figured there are already so many Greeks touting how awesome everything Greek is and how without Greece the world would be in a dark age, that I would try something different. Not the language of mama-patrida? :x
Shame on you!

I found some of these entries interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers
I do understand that the language with the most native speakers may not translate (pun intended) to a "better" language, but it's interesting nonetheless.
Wow, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I was surprised by Mandarin on top. Spanish is spoken in many countries so, that wasn't too crazy, but Mandarin?!I found some of these entries interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers

[QUOTE="entropyecho"]Wow, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I was surprised by Mandarin on top. Spanish is spoken in many countries so, that wasn't too crazy, but Mandarin?! Mandarian is only on top because the only country that speaks it happens to have 1.8 billion people living in it. If you look at the languages that are most widely spoken you wind up with English at the top followed by Spanish.I found some of these entries interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers

It's like sign language![QUOTE="entropyecho"]
[QUOTE="BiancaDK"]
It kinda' lacks the whole 'spoken' spectrum of languages though. =P

Which is also a relatively inefficient means of communication, compared to the likes of english. =P
∀x∈L,∃! x: B(X) => x>y, ∀y∈L/{x} (For a partial order >) . As compared to, For every language in the world, there exists a language which is deemed to be the best. Unfortunately, my argument is moot, since no one would really have any idea of what I'm trying to say without a proper declaration of terms in English.
Anyhow, I'd say that mathematics is the best language somehow.
