I like Tom Delonge a lot, but that's primarily because his lyrics remind me of my brother.

I also like Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain a lot.

Lennon and McCartney are always good too.

Michael Stipe from R.E.M. because of his extremely abstract artistic lyrics that can be interpreted in many ways.

Roger Waters from Pink Floyd and Joe Strummer from The Clash for expressing their ideas without being painfully obvious.

Bob Dylan for obvious reasons.
