Still have to watch Toy Story 3, and still waiting on True Grit, Black Swan and Tron-- but I'd be shocked if any of them could top Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

It came out in the States last year, but I saw it this year at the cinema, Up in the Air. I loved that film. It works on so many levels. Closely followed by Inception and The Social Network. How original of me :( Surprisingly, one of the most enjoyable times I had was with the film Easy A.

A Film Unfinishedmo0ksi

How is A Film Unfinished? (yes I see that's it's your 5 favorite of the year, but besides that :P)

It's playing at my local theater this week and I was thinking about going to see it.

I haven't seen much films this year but my favorite would have to be Inception closely followed by Toy Story 3.

I'm going to say Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Which is something I'd never expect to say with Michael Cera in a leading role. But the supporting cast and Edgar Wright's direction made it a really enjoyable film.

Remake this thread in January and I'll get back to you. After I see True Grit, Tron Legacy, Black Swan, Unstoppable, etc.

It's playing at my local theater this week and I was thinking about going to see it.

It was rather horrific. Not too graphic, however the later parts can be difficult to watch. But the overall footage that was gathered up showed that the fate of almost everyone housed inside of the Warsaw ghetto already had their fate sealed before they were shipped off to the death camps. The thick of the documentary comes from the persepective of the one who was behind the camera, and the type of things he and the camera crew were told to do when making what was supposed to be a propaganda film. It provides a very insightful and haunting look on what they were going through. I would recommend seeing it.
