Good to see you included Dead Man's Shoes, thought that may have gone under that radar of most. Are you prepared for a bashing by Dark Knight fanboys?

Of the last decade? Hmm, I'd say all the Star Wars films that have come out, Fight Club, The Matrix, Clerks 2. So many, can't think of them directly off my mind, those are probably my favorites though.

City of God is a quality movie, as is letters from Iwo Jima. I'm glad you said that rather than Flags of Our Fathers, which the critics liked more. Lord knows why. I think the Departed, while probably overhyped at the time, is still worth a mention as a fantastic movie with an incredibly good cast.

Memento was made this decade? Sweet. I've been meaning to see Dead Man's Shoes, but I can't find it anywhere! Kinda surprised No Country For Old Men's not up there, it and Memento are probably some of my favourite movies of all time, let alone this decade

I was under the impression that it was religious-themed because of the title.

Thats the name of the slum it takes place in, its an actual slum outside Rio de janeiro in Brazil. Sad story.

Ginger snaps is in a way kinda similar to let the right one in, they are both coming of age films, except they have different ages and ginger is about werewolves and let the right one in is about vampires. If you havent seen it you should, great film.

Its not a gorefest, its not even really a horror film.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/

Its a beautiful and tragic dark love story if anything. That may sound pretentious, but that is really the best way to desribe it.
