The best pizza i have eaten was from Papa's Pizza Place in Bolingbrook IL. in the Chicago area. to my knowledge, there are only like 2 restaurants. they are family owned and such.

my dad used to work there when he was younger. he praised their pizza, then i got to try it. was amazing. the thin crust is awesome. nice and crispy.

my grandma has recently moved back to chicago, so we get it more often now, as she brings it with her(they make par-baked ones too) everytime she visits us.

she came to visit today and brought some. soo good.

i love their MAMA's Special. its got like a bbq type sauce, cheese, sausage, bacon, onions. so good.

just finished eating some.

whats the best pizza you have had?

Just Pappa Johns or Round table. I'm really not a pizza snob. In fact, I typically don't like fancy pizza at all. I love just the regular chain stuff.

Honestly the best I ever had was from Lidl or Aldi, it was just so damn good yet I completely forgot the name and even the brand of it. I know it came in a pack of 2 and I've hunted high and low and cannot get my hungry hands on it again. Possibly the best value for the best quality pizza I've ever had and I stupidly threw away the packaging to save space in the fridge, needless to say I ate the two of them and didn't offer anyone else a slice.

Giordano's stuffed pizza in the IL area is amazing.

Also double dough from rosati's.

Toppings are fairly irrelevant, but as insight, I love jalapenos, sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and BACON.

of the regular chain stuff, papa johns is my least favorite.:P

i dont like their sauce, and at least the ones near me, the crust is always chewy and such.

i actually liked Dominoes better, before they changed up their pizza.:P

we usually get pizza hut, since its closest to us.

yea iirc the sauce has a slight kick(spicy) to it. nothing too overwhelming, not really noticeable. they did something else to their crust too.

yea, we used to have like 3 in our general area, one used to be in town. now there is only 1 and its kinda out of the way. not far, just not easy to get to. so just settle for pizza hut:P

Before I left on vacation, I hung out with my friends and ordered my own custom pizza from Pizza Hut. I know that Chicago and New York pizzas have some amazing pizzas and I've tried some, but this was my favorite.

Extra Large Cheese Lovers Cheesy Bites Pizza, with chicken, sausage and mushrooms. Cheese lovers is the kind that has 4 cheeses plus Alfredo instead of Tomato sauce, and cheesy bites are like stuffed crust except overrated, but they do break apart easier.

It was freaking amazing, went well with hot wings.

There used to be a place called Vern's here and each pizza was so full of toppings it was hard to get in your mouth. I don't know if I'd say 'best', but certainly worth the money. This is a photo from their facebook page, which shows how thick the pizza really is:

app_full_proxy.php?app=4949752878&v=1&si

Best cheap pizza, domino's I guess. I ask for double ham, pepperoni, brooklyn pepperoni, pineapple and italian sausage. Dominos is only good if you don't order off the menu.

Best frozen is McCain's ultra thin crust pizzas. I tried the spinach one and the chicken one and they were yummy.

I'm going to have to second the stuffed pizza that I had in Chicago. Nothing else even came close to how good that was. I also went to this Italian restaurant with some relatives while I was in Texas visiting, and they had some of the best thin-crust pizza I have ever eaten. I forget the name of the restaurant though.

Here n Ontario...the only pizza I know that comes close to either of those is Pizza Hut. Bring on the hate. I don't care; I LOVE their pizza.

Agreed but that's because my high school (and middle school) served Little Caesars and later Pizza Hut. For 7 years I literally ate pizza 5 days a week (every day of school). It was great. :P

4 1/2 cups of Flour 1 3/4 Teaspoons of salt 1 teaspoon Yeast 1/4 cup Olive oil 1 3/4 cups of cold water Blend it all together in a bowl until you have a dough and let it swell for around 40-50 minutes and then roll it out, make sure you sprinkle enough flor so it isn't so sticky to handle, fold the corners and smear tomato paste, or sauce, over the open surface. Then it's just to add the things you want on, sprinkle the cheese you want on it and toss it into a pre-heated oven. I tend to take 10 minutes in a oven pre-heated to 250 Degrees Celcius (482 F ) but that's up to each individual.

True. I remember making some pizzas at home that I just pile on stuffings and they are the tops. You have to eat them with a fork. I shall make another perhaps, now that you have reminded me.

What's the name of the restaurant?

The best one I've had was at a REAL italian pizza restaurant in San Juan called La Focaccia. Like they explained everything from the cheeses to be used on the pizza to the history of it and whatnot. It was a very satisfying experience, gotta go there again.

Real Italian pizza doesn't have cheese. Adding cheese was American.

Domino's for cheap stuff or the shop down the road somewhere.

Also, I find it weird that Domino's and Pizza Hut are in Australia but not that Papa John's anything else. A lot of fast food outlets in America don't come here. We don't even have the same Wendy's.

they put butter on the crust then rubbed it with garlic salt. Thats about the only change. Still a good deal though, even if it is crap

as for me, best pizza I had was from this Italian restaurant. Plain dough topped with dollops of mascarpone cheese (Italian cream cheese, but more savory than sweet) and proscuitto. Fired in a wood-burning oven, then pulled out and topped with a heap of peppery arugala which promptly wilted nicely. Very simple, very tasty.
