When I was in Chicago a couple weekends ago I had deep dish pizza for the first time ever from Gino's East Side. It was literally the most heavenly thing I have ever consumed.

This is Giordano's pizza in Chicago. This is the best pizza I've ever had and will probably continue to be till the day I die. That is all.

Just looking at it is making me want to order some....Cant afford it this week though:(
I've eaten there a few times, you're right to love it. The best pizza I had was a very small, local place that uses local farm produce and locally cured meats. They made one pizza that was beets, apples, and goat cheese... Outrageously good. The best pizza i have eaten was from Papa's Pizza Place in Bolingbrook IL. in the Chicago area. to my knowledge, there are only like 2 restaurants. they are family owned and such.
my dad used to work there when he was younger. he praised their pizza, then i got to try it. was amazing. the thin crust is awesome. nice and crispy.
my grandma has recently moved back to chicago, so we get it more often now, as she brings it with her(they make par-baked ones too) everytime she visits us.
she came to visit today and brought some. soo good.
i love their MAMA's Special. its got like a bbq type sauce, cheese, sausage, bacon, onions. so good.
just finished eating some.
whats the best pizza you have had?

Dino's Pizza in Newport News Virginia is the best pizza I have ever had. They make New York style pizza and it is awesome. I try to get some every time I go up to see my family. In the Smyrna, GA area, it's Da Vinci's pizza for me. Mmmmmmmm.
I haven't had pizza in a long time so I'm not sure if it still holds up, but I used to think this somewhat local pizzeria's margherita pizza was the best thing on earth.
Cacciatori Pizza, small little pizzeria by me. I always get the same three toppings: meatball, mushroom and garlic. Some people find that combination strange but it's just so damn good.
Meatball and garlic sounds awesome for toppings, but ground beef could be used instead. I might have to try that the next time I make a Boboli pizza when I am home. I always keep garlic on hand.
