Try and keep going sure, but it'll hit you the day after next. I usually try and squeeze a few hours sleep in if I can then just go to bed at the usual hour.

You could try that 5 hour energy crap I have no idea if it works though. Caffeine will likely help in general. Don't lie down even if you feel light headed or drowsy cause you will pass outI hate energy drinks and that kinda stuff... then stfu,[QUOTE="testfactor888"][QUOTE="ps3wizard45"]
Any ideas how to stay up in the day?

Staying up all night makes you feel like crap throughout the whole day, I've tried it :P
That being said, unfortunately there isn't too many other ways to get into a completely new sleeping pattern. Simply going to sleep earlier doesn't work for me because I end up just lying awake in bed tossing and turning for a couple of hrs. There is sleep medication, but those should generally be avoided...

Getting into a new sleep pattern is a whole lot easier than people give it credit for.
It's Pattern, just a routine. As long as you keep it up and don't wimp out, that settles in pretty fast for most people.
If you need to adjust to a new pattern FAST, then the best thing to do is to jump right in and do it. No naps, none of that crap. You're gonna be sleepy as hell, it's gonna suck, but Change Hurts. Go ahead and simply DO the new sleep pattern, put up with the week or so of misery that results. Then your body adjusts to your new sleep patterns, and the problem goes away.
Yeah, change makes you feel like crap. So what? If it's worth doing, then do it anyway. If it's not worth doing, then it's not worth doing. Yeah he's gonna feel like crap. But if he needs to get into a new sleep pattern, then what he needs to do is to just dive into the deep end of the pool and deal with it until he learns to swim.
It'll really hurt the next day, but I guess if you try to go outside or go someplace you probably wont feel it as much then if you were at home. The more active you are, the less tired you tend to feel IMO 8)

I have to adjust a bit going back and forth from the UK and Australia. I usually find 'heavy consumption' tends to knock me into a new pattern reasonably quickly.
Thats what I do when my nights and days are mixed up.
Best way to stay awake is to always keep yourself busy.
Well I've heard of worse Idea's, wait ! yeah that is definetly worse... Unless ! no actually that is even pretty bad for mexicans.i'm going to try and stay up all night and go to bed when i normally do and wake up when i would for school.... smart idea?

[QUOTE="funsohng"]Watching some boring shows, i.e. K-ON and King of the Hills, puts me in sleep very well.SoraX64You're not invited to my birthday party. Yay K-On! sig
I have been tempted to steal your sig for my profile top picture but I decided not to rip it off from you :) Love it though
Last time I got drunk I tried to sleep in my car. My buddy took my keys and went home so I had to wait for him to come back :( It was during a music festival, so there was a bunch of cops around. I went for a walk and one stopped and asked me what I was doing I said "Im bored, i couldn't sleep." It was 4:00 AM. I didn't sleep a wink all night, I waited until 9:45 for my friend to show up. I had to work later on in the day, still buzzed. Worst. Day. Ever.Staying up all night makes you feel like crap throughout the whole day, I've tried it :P

Not too much following what the maker of this thread is trying to do....but a good way of staying up, or atleast giving yourself a proper B12 shot is to take a bath. In my case, a shower.
Turn on the hot water, languish under it for a bit and lather up. When I'm finished I'm refreshed.
But then again I normally wake up at 6am and go to sleep at 3am.
My body is used to late night grinds since College.
