Flipping burgers doesn't require any work ethic. It requires being able to do a mindless task over and over. It is also demeaning. I wouldn't flip burgers if the salary was 1M a year (assuming all other variables remained static). It's worse than death for me.
Yeah, a bunch of thugs rolling dice on a street corner isn't the only form of gambling. And I really hope that mispelling of Jim Beam is a typo because if it isn't it's pretty pointless to debate with you. I make my money from a combination of poker and sports betting. Neither are gambling any more than the stock market is gambling -- in fact less so. There is a much higher ROR for me with no risk of ruin. It's impossible to explain in a single post but basically with my skill level assuming I play within my bankroll in poker and properly wager units I will always, always, make money. Sure there will be variance but I have enough capital to withstand the highest possible swings so I have no risk of ruin.

Then you have no idea what Work Ethic is. Work Ethic is being there when you're suppose to, doing the work as you're suppose to, and generally taking care of business. Even ditch diggers have a work ethic.
You simply come across as a young, arrogant teen with no experience of the real world.
I'll tell you what work ethic is: taking your own $1000 and building a business you sell for $2.25 Million (6.75 million 3 ways...I had 2 business partners) and retire at age 27, as I did in 2002. It only took me 3 years (1999-2002) to turn that around. And that was 3 years of 12-15 hour days, 6 days a week. THAT is work ethic.
So how's playing craps going for ya?
Yep that is work ethic. You previously tried to tell me work ethic was flipping burgers.Awesome shameless brag at starting and selling a successful business though. Congrats on your success but I don't think it's prudent to retire at 27 with only 2.25m, unless you already had a very high net worth prior to the sale, which doesn't make sense given your post.
I don't play craps except recreationally in casinos. If we are going off mere earnings I've earned more in a 4 month period then you sold your entire business for (your share). Granted this wasn't normal but I've had a few years where I've earned more than that -- and had no losing years. I'm not going to reveal my average yearly income since it varies and I've toned down and had some leaner years in the last two simply because there's no need for me to put in the volume I used to because my monetary situation is extremely comfortable.
