- Shaun of the Dead
- Zombieland

28 Days Later (Not only is it entertaining, but it has loads of fantastic sub-text, enough that I wrote an A-grade college paper on it!)
Dawn of the Dead (I do prefer the remake, but the original is also fantastic)
Dead Alive (Up there with Evil Dead 2 in having some of the best dark comedy EVER!!!)
Rec (Such a great, unique take on the genre)
Zombieland (Just too damn funny!)
And I gotta through out a curveball here that I doubt anyone will be familiar with:
Zombies of Mass Destruction (Slow to start, but is totaly hilarious and has one of the funniest scenes EVER!)
Right now I'm watching 28 days later for media studies.
Pretty freakin awesome
What's your favourite?
OB-47
I really liked how it handled zombies.(28 days later)
I'm sick of all these genetic/disease zombie movies that try to use science to explain zombies and failing at said science.
-Like how zombies don't die of starvation.
-How the disease not contained/spreads without restraint
-how head shots are the only thing to kill zombies
If you use science for zombies THEN BLOODY USE SCIENCE!!!
I don't mind it so much when its not to serious (like Zombieland), but if you try to use a serious tone without common sense then it just bugs me.
my top ten
10) zombieland (I like this movie, but its a bit overrated)
9) last of the living (yeah, it may not be one of the best on a technical level, but I love it. its an independent film with alot of heart)
8 ) dawn of the dead (original)
7) return of the living dead
6) zombies of mass destruction
5) 28 weeks later
4) night of the living dead (original)
3) shaun of the dead

ZOMG same here!
I randomly stumbled across that movie in the Free Movies section on Comcast On Demand (pretty sure it's still there too) and decided to watch it late one night.
I didn't get into it right away and then things started to kick off. That scene I linked to completely sealed the deal for me. Honestly one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen in a movie!
Zombieland is probably the only zombie comedy I like. And all of Romero's work blows.
airshocker
I agree with you, dude. romero is soooo overrated
