Even for people who aren't religious or even Christian, there's a bunch of really good stories in there... and there's a bunch of really good lessons in there too. I'm not so much a Christian but I do believe that there's a lot of wisdom in there.
I tend to like secular books more though. I like Aldous Huxley and Fyodor Dostoevsky.
  The way I see it is I think any one who takes the Bible literally or as a guide line of life as their only source, lacks intelligence... Even if magically the first Bible were real and did come from god, the Bible today isn't that book.. No the Bible today has been translated thousands of times to the point its meaning could be completely different.. Not just that but this is giving the generous assumption that man did not alter for their own bias and purposes (which they have thus why there are so many sects in Christianity as well as other religions alone)..  I have lost just about all respect for Christianty as a religion in the past 10 years due to the many bigots and fundamentalists that try to control our government..Â
 And no I believe there is far better books out there with more philosophical meanings and stories far superior to the Bible.. The Art of War being one of those.
