It's horrible. It's not funny, runs on stereotypical 'nerd' jokes, has a laugh track, and is a blemish on the genre.

not very good, though I just about hate sitcoms now (and all network tv, HBO ftw)
watch teh youtube videos of big bang without laugh track, shows you just how unfunny and creepy those shows actually are.


and if you haven't already, watch Arrested Development, thats what a sitcom should be.

This. That's what I hate about it, its not quite a "you've seen one you've seen 'em all" kind of thing, but it does feel recycled. I'm a nerd, I know my science, so when I hear something that's even partially wrong I can practically quote Sheldon except for the random opener of "actually" and "no" or nothing, where he jumps right in. He is my favorite character though.

Its smart in that its characters say smart things, its not smart in that the show says smart things, or that its creative.

I personally love it. But then, I love physics, and it's not often that you find a show with physics-related jokes. For example, the one where Sheldon made the riddle with clues suggesting the Higgs boson. I found that hilarious, because I actually knew what it was, or rather is supposed to be. Of course, there are actually a lot of things in the show that I can relate to, such as when Sheldon said something about Ubuntu being his favorite Linux distribution. As it occurs, I'm on Ubuntu right now. I just don't find humorous, and rather intelligent, jokes like that in most shows, so it adds a little to the show for me.

I can't watch an episode without crying form laughter literally and sometimes my stomach hurts form so much laughing. I love sheldon the most hes so funny lol. My only problem is Penny is gaining weight they need to do something about that i mena look at her in the pilot compared to now. oh well shes still hot you guys like it as well?

I like BBT and find it funny though not MASH funny. I think all sitcoms nowadays recycle jokes to some extent. There are only so many things that can be made fun of andn after 60 years of TV and the evolution of the Sitcom, everything has been done. The thing is, I do not like any of the other shows that Chuck Lorre has produced. HIMYM is another show I cannot stand.

I keep hearing about this show and how great it is. I'll sample it on Hulu.
