With all the scare of global warming people jump to create a fix with out thinking about the consequences. The use of ethanol is now making a big impact on the food you buy. There are so many foods that are corn based which raises the price of these foods. Not only that milk and meats are being affected also. This has got to be hard on families. I have notices a major difference in the prices. With milk it really shows. Is it worth it? This is raising the cost of living majorly.

Is it worth it? Why is that even a question - it's better than continuiing on the path we're on.

Yeah, but then we could end up with an economic problem. If food begins to cost too much then people might have to start working more hours in a week just to be able to have more money put away to live off of. I dont want to imagine how it could affect retirement funds either.

But, I would rather damage our economy than do the same thing to our environment.

My god, stop with the global warming. Are you on a one man quest to disprove global warming to everyone?

That's not even the worst part. Corn actually isn't very good for making biofuels, sugar cane is. I've read that it takes almost as much energy to make ethanol as you get from it. That's not a great equation.

sorry about that. I know I am a little out of control. I just want people to be more realistic about it. I remember people talking about global cooling when I was younger and it amounted to nothing. I see a lot of issues with whats going on now and it would be nice for people to recognize some of them.
