A Bioshock movie has been confirmed and it's going to be directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Carribean). Read about it here it's even listed in IMBD here. I don't know about this, it sounds cool but there would be so many things that would be hard to show in a movie, like the multiple endings or hacking.

the fact it says he is goin to take the Little Sister scenes "right up to the edge" kinda scares me, I wonder if the main character is gonna be silent, like in the game, and it has the same feel to it, I hope so cause I love bioshock

The story was pretty good and the atmosphere was amazing, but the gameplay and "twists" were a "been there, dont that" type of thing. Great game nonetheless IMO.

i think it'd be kind of hard to screw up on this movie, I mean they must really suck at producing if the movie turns out bad, the story pretty much writes itself, therefore I have high hopes for this movie, bioshock is an awesome game.

As long as Uwe Boll stays away from this, there is hope. Either way, this movie probably won't be out until 2010, so I wouldn't start holding my breath now.

Bioshock wasn't that great, and the movie will probably ruin the fun I actually had in the game.

This is actually really old news. Like I've said before, reserve your judgement until initial trailers come out. Gore Verbinski is a very capable director and has alot of experience with water. There's also actual meat to the story and not just a bad guys come, you have special powers, save the world thing.

I have no faith in this film. Personally I didnt even find the games story to be much of strength. It was a good story for a game but thats not saying much.

I'd much rather play in the world than watch it, but I do hope that it's a good/semi-tolerable film.

Verbenski is directing,which is great.It also has one of the scribes from the movie Gladiator working on the script,and that is awesome.
