Books are the heart of knowledge. One must understand that they are of value and should not be treated like a game.

So far I've finished one book last year; Claudia, daughter of rome. It lacked intermediate level of vocabulary which does not give experienced and well educated readers a sense of challenge which is to increase the level of understanding. The story is completely first person as if it was Claudia herself thinking. Though, readers who are interested in dwelling into the past would find this book rather enjoying.

Overall, a good book is a book without pictures in them, it gives the reader a sense of imagination which some book really ruins that like annotations (a picture in just about every page).

I keep hearing this lord of the flies, is it really that popular down in America?
As for the topic, I am specifically referring to ... how do I say.. General? Not comic books like - e.g Gears of War. Which is fictional but based on a game, it's just not really giving much knowledge or even relevance to history.

about a year and a half ago i started reading quite a bit. i read about a book or two a month. horror/ fantasy/ suspense i'm about to read "Angels and Demons" and am currently reading "The Face" by Dean Koontz. My favorite series would have to be the "Left Behind" series. I've read 10 out of 12 books ( i believe there 12 books?) of the Left Behind series. anywho reading is a lot more fun when it's at your own leisure, and it's not mandatory like back in my high school days.

My favourite is probably The Lord of the Rings. Probably the most well written fiction I've read are Jane austins books though I'm sure the majority of Gamespot users would find them incredibly boring. I really enjoy reading Astronomy, Physics and other types of science books. I have a large collection of them.

I love reading. Old fashioned detective novels are my favourites, like those by Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, John Dickson Carr and Ellery Queen. Of the more modern authors I especially like Stephen King, Michael Connelly and Dan Brown.

At the moment I'm about half way through Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. So far I'm enjoying it very much, more than I thought I would.

I am not a big reader. The only books I have really read were for school. The typical stuff like A Tale of Two Cities, 1984, Alas Babylon, Frankenstein, Huck Fin, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc...

I've read many books in my time (but not many in my time at college-the only books I've read in the past year have been Greek cIassics). My personal favorite, though, has to be Crime and Punishment, beyond all shadow of a doubt.

If you enjoy Angels & Demons (and I think you will), then you should absolutely read The Da Vinci Code as well. It's just as suspenseful as A&D. Dan Browns other books are great too.

i've been leaning towards the lord of the rings books. that may be next series. a decent book that i found pretty fulfilling and made me think outside the box a little is called "Germ" by Robert Liparulo. basically it dealt with some mad scientists who controlled a "germ" that would only affect certain ppl with specific DNA. pretty cool and thrilling. it didn't end like i wanted it to, but it was pretty cool. i've also read "The Rising" City of the Dead" and "Dead Sea" by Brian Keene. Now he took a very different twist to the whole zmbi idea. definiteley some of my favorite stuff as of late. "World War Z" was cool as well.

I've read tons, but my all time favorite has got to be the complete/uncut version of The Stand by Stephen King. It's a little over indulging, but pretty good.

the last book i had a chance to read for pleasure was amerika by kafka. its an interesting, funny, surreal, and all around wierd book (though not so wierd by kafka's standards, i suppose) on the insanely high expectations immigrants had of america's living standards around the 17th century.

ill have more time to read once the semester ends.

My favorite would be Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keys. That book probably had the biggest emotional impact on me out of any book I've ever read. I was nearly in tears by the end.

Currently I'm reading War of the Rats by David L. Robbins. It's about the battle of Stalingrad from both a German and Russian perspective.

I've read tons of books, I love to read, especially when I'm on vacation or in bed. I mostly like books about China during the Mao Zedong period, about the struggle and the (for westerners) often strange social connections. Great writers are Lulu Wang, Amy Tan and Su Tong.

I've been reading books in my own time on and off for years. I've been on a string of really good books in the past year. Some suspense is always crucial, and if its non-fiction, I like it to have interesting people or events I can look up later. I'm sad like that.

My sig being noted, it's needless to say that The Fountainhead is my favourite novel... followed by Atlas Shrugged. Outside of Rand, I like Austen, Doyle, 1984, etc. Currently reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu.... which, combined with the Rand love, makes me sound like a bit of an a-hole. Oh, well.

I used to be a huge book worm in elementary school before I was a gamer. I still read quite a bit though, and am currently reading The Oxford Book of English Ghost Stories.

I've never really got too into the horror genre, so there has been some really great stuff so far in there.
