I would not be surprised if he was playing Call of Duty 4 :P

i already read the article, and i didn't seem like the kid meant to kill the guy. just out of shock or w/e and just stabbed him.
Also, your 12, its not like you can wrestle with someone that size.
I was just wondering something similar to this the other day.
Is it murder if your protecting someone else? I know it's self-defense to protect yourself, but what about others?Wetall_basic
No. Protecting innocent people is a perfectly acceptable reason to kill someone.

Good for him. He had a perfectly good reason to do it. And it's not like he had much chance without a weapon.
Instead of thinking about charging him, they should get him to a psychiatrist so he won't go through any major shock or any other type of mental issues after killing a person.

Thats what I was thinking. Taking a human life can scar you forever, and for this kid, it will.
I wouldnt try to kill him, but I would hurt him pretty badly.domineri don't think the boy was trying to kill him either. in fact, i don't think he was trying to hit him. sounds like he was only trying to scare the man. but then ended up cutting him. then he ended up dying later on.

i think the same thing
I know some people will call me bad, but to tell you the truth I dont think I would be scarred if I killed someone I didnt know AND MY REASON WAS JUSTIFIED.dominer

Pretty sad, I guess the only way he could express it was through murder.filiwian
*waits for blame to be placed on videogames*
Yes, even though it seemed legitimate and in defense of his mother, videogames will be blamed by someone.
I'd probably do the same thing or just hit him with whatever is near me.
Where else would he learn his knife wielding skills?*waits for blame to be placed on videogames*

its a really fine line though... you can't just have a hunch that someone is in danger... you have to be absolutely sure that person is going to harm or kill another...
That's a pretty incredible story. Really, it is.UTXII
