Try taking 8 shots of straight Jagermeister next time.so i invited my friends over for my bday, and we had a blast. beer was kinda nasty but i dealt with it (I had three). for a light weight, i really loved the smirnoff ice(two bottles). i also drank 2 vodka shots.
it was fun yah know? everyone was loosened up, having fun. one of my friends got woozy and gave us all a laugh.
i always thought that people who drank alcohol were irresponsible, and what not, but man i was wrong, it was a really fun experience.
any if you had same experiences?

Just don't be like the 13 year old kid here who drank a litre of Jager in under 30 min then went intoa coma.
happy u had a good time lonewolf... the inevidable will come soon, actually you might want to have the experience sooner rather than later, which is.. your first drunk vomit.. its a horrible experience but one you need to have, especially if u dont want to embarrass yourself at a big party. i had mine after 7 beers and 6 shots.. pretty much.. you learn your tolerance level that night. so make sure you count how many you drink, try to keep it to 1 drink only ( dont mix) .. and from then on, always stay 1-2 drinks under that, and remember the golden rule when you mix drinks... assume you had 1 -2 more doses when you mix.. since you become volitile.nimatoad2000
Still haven't vomited with alcohol only *knock on wood*. Vomited after mixing alcohol with weed though.

I was completely against Alcohol, I hated what it made people do, and how it makes you lose control and the stuff smelled and tasted horrible.
But then one day having a couple of beers with mates while playing FIFA, Instantly It dawned on me the appeal and the value of this drink. Only idiots abuse the stuff, when it's drunk casually and at social occasions, it just loosens you up. You are still in complete control of your actions, you just feel more inclined to laugh and be open with people. It's a great feeling. However, I must say, I have seen people binge (especially on Vodka) and it ain't pretty. DO NOT BINGE. Just down a couple of beers and you will be lightly buzzed, instead of getting peer-pressured into taking shots and throwing up.

I used to drink many years ago, but stopped and realized I can have just as much fun without drinking.
those are just in the movies. alchohal can loosen peopel who are otherwise quite boring. it helps people get out of their shell as wellBayAreaXTell that to the parents who's kids were killed by drunk drivers or the police officers who have to deal with drunken people day after day. I don't think they would agree it's "just in the movies."
No, I refuse to ever drink a drop.cousin_eddy
Same. My parents gave me a sip of beer when I was 12 just to show me what tasted like. Suffice to say it tasted nasty and every time I think about beer that taste comes back as a reminder. Of course thats not the only reason I'm passing up on the stuff; I don't need it, Not the most healthy thing for you, 1 beer would probably be way to much for me anyway and finally I've just had bad experiences with people and alcohol.
Good choice... notI can't drink anymore. Everytime I do I end up way too drunk, which is my fault, but I've realized I would be better off just not drinking in the first place.
I just smoke instead.

Christ, people are so much more open when they're drunk. If you want to know things about someone, getting them drunk is a great way to do it.I'm not drinking alcohol and I don't plan to, but I don't mind other people that drink it, despite nasty breath, they're kinda funny.
It's okay to drink a couple of glasses and loosen up a bit, but please don't go overboard.

I'm glad you actually tried it with an open mind.:)
I greatly dislike people who blindly judge something they've never tried before. You can drink and have lots of fun, you just need to be responsible.
This is pretty much it. Binge drinking isn't fun. It doesn't make you feel good and if you blackout, it loses what little meaning it had to begin with.I used to be like that.

A good way to avoid getting a hangover is to drink water before you go to bed. It's just not always easy to remember to do that if you're not thinking clearly.First time I got drunk, I puked but doesnt everyone. And was slumped against a wall playing Tektris on my phone :D Didnt get a hangover either, in fact I havent ever got a hangover!

reading all these replies i feel kinda outplace... i started at 13, heaviest drinking (approx 2 or 3 750mls of hard among 3 or 4 mates once or twice a week) at 14, and flat out what is probably considered alcoholic drinking since then . Ive blacked out enough times to not be able to count them and have had an absolute blast for most of it. despite the occasional headache and "im sorry" I wouldnt take it back...

Despite that Ive never had an issue balancing other aspects of my life. In a fantastic uni, great friends, gf, sports,e.t.c. It is about knowing your level (no need to puke, no need to rely) but you only live once and id honestly recommend anyone to have a couple friends over and to mix up a couple drinks.
--
To those that say you dont like it, thats entirely understandable, but like many things appreciation of taste will come with time. And if you ever want to ease that transition than mix up a couple drinks (i mean not just base+mix, but something like a blue lagoon, shanghi sling or something)

Also clubs are for the most part quite a bore without at least a couple drinks in you
