Boys kill and hang kitten after playing GTA

Geez, this is a really terrible story. Apparently two young boys, ages 6 and 7, played a very long session of GTA (4 I think), and afterwards 'stoned' the family kitten to death and hung it from a tree in the backyard with a controller cable. It's a pretty gross story, but I see two things to blame:

1. The Parents weren't home, so IMO weren't good parents, and

2. Why were such young kids allowed to play a game as violent as GTA?

I've never played GTA 4, but I'm pretty sure there's no kitten stoning in it.

I want to stone those kids to death...

Anyway, GTA isn't to blame for this, I used to watch DBZ and play Mortal Kombat as a kid and I still didn't have any violent thoughts, let alone actually DO anything violent.

You know whats worst? That is Actually not so bad =/ is coming worse!!! And here is why: (Nowadays) Typical parents are about 20-30 therefore born in (maybe) 1980-1985, back then videogames/cartoons/music wasnt so bad (execept for mortal kombat) guys grew up playin mario, watching nickelodeon cartoons, listen to some good old rock ( well maybe musica was kinda bad back then too). Lets say in parents in 10 years well... uhmmm just acouple of examples: this kids u r talking about, that dude who went to molest some prostitutes after playing gta4, girls who pretty much sleep with every guy because *IS COOL* i mean 30 years ago, if u slept with someone else u were called a w*** pretty much everyone in the neighborhood wouldnt want to talk to you. but now is cool =/Solid_Snak3Xx

The '80s were great for music: Dio, Queensryche, Savatage, etc.

Anyway, your post doesn't make sense.

The real reason is: Those kids are horrible. Don't put all the blame on the parents and violent games...zakkro

The parents should only be blamed for leaving them alone and buying them an M rated game. The rest, well, you have to be pretty messed up to think of killing a cute animal at that age, and they didn't just thought it, they actually did it.

This is parent's fault because they should never let younger kids alone and let them play a violent game at such a young age.

well, it looks like the kids are going to get the "stone a kitten and hang it on a tree with a controller cord" achievement in the game!

Unless they played the game on the PS3, that is. Which in that case they had no reason to do what they did and are barbaric little punks! :x

Wow, this is such a great example of why all video games are bad, and why the media is doing such a good job of informing us and putting games in the proper light that they are. Quite obviously, these two children were perfect angels before they played a couple of hours of GTAIV, which turned them into absolute psychopaths filled with the need to stone and hang kittens. This well written article, free of any grammatical errors and perfectly truthful is what we need more of in our media today!

HAHAHA excellent. This made my day. Talk about ingenuity, hanging with a controller cord? Nice. Don't blame GTA 4 either, kids have been mutilating animals since before TV's were invented. Anyway, yeah I guess the parents should've been there, but whatever. A cat is a cat, there's 100000000000 of them and the kids got an early anatomy lesson.fatzebra

To you, maybe... But even if that were the case, it doesn't give anyone the right to just kill something (human or not) for no good reason, and these kids must be pretty ****** up to stone a cat for fun and hang its corpse from a tree, just because they're young doesn't mean they can't be evil (which they are).

By the way, of course I wouldn't stone them, but it just makes me so angry to hear this...
