Can we agree that Brad is a much better actor than Leonardo?
Why?
Brad can actually ACT in my different rolls and he pulls em off fairly well... while Leonardo has the same rolls over and over again.

agreed,i just tried to imagine di caprio as tyler durden and the mess he would've caused in that role..
While they are both amazing actors and are an example of what every actor should be, I would have to say that yes Brad Pitt is the better of the two but thats like choosing between Jiffy or Skippy in terms of peanut butter. Both are great and go good with jelly regardless of which one you usually buy
agreed, but its pretty damn close
with that said, Matt Damon > Brad Pitt or Leonardo Dicaprio
...since we're talking about holyywood pretty boys. Matt Damon knows how to have a laugh at his expense, something the other two have yet to maste.r
When it comes to non-serious roles, Brad>Leonardo. But for serious roles, Leonardo>>>>>>>Brad IMO...tocool340
I can agree with that, toocool340
:P
both of them are not handsome, but LD act better than BP. BP is only a king of red carpethippiesantaYes they are, it's kind of hard to argue otherwise

Then you are in a very small minority. Yes, I agree that Brad Pitt is better.I disagree.
Brad Pitt has done some decent acting, but I don't really feel like he's anything special. He's certainly not bad, and he certainly surprised me the first time I saw him in a movie, because I expected him to ride solely on his good looks, but he is competent.
Leonardo DiCaprio has taken on his fair share of different roles, and he seems to select them carefully. I'd say that the characters he's played have shown that he's rather versatile. I don't think that he's necessarily the absolute best actor around, but I do think that he is talented - far more talented than most would dream at the time of Titanic. Maybe I'm a bit biased since I've been a fan for quite a while and find him incredibly attractive, but I always enjoy watching him. I think that he's good and has his own st.yle.
I'm going with leonardo on this. I'm trying to picture Bratt Pitt in "Catch me if you can" "Blood Diamond" "The Aviator" "The Departed" "Titanic" and "Inception." I just don't feel that Brad Pitt could have ever pulled that off.
Fight Club and 12 Monkeys are the only 2 movies of Brad Pitt's that I think he did an exceptional job in.
I think they're both great, but Leonardo DiCaprio is better. In fact, he's steadily becoming one of my favourite actors of all time.
I put them about on par with each other. I think they're both pretty good actors. Pitt may have had a wider variety of roles, I'll give you that. Leo is significantly younger though, so I'll wait to see what he does over the next 10-15 years.
Yes we can. I don't like Leonardo save one role, Gilbert's kid brother on Whats eating Gilbert Grape. Brad Pitt is just meh to me, he was good in seven, but that's the best I can recall from him.
I think that problem with Leonardo di Caprio is his baby face and its hard to take him seriously because of that sometimes. Like someone said above he didnt change much since the 90s which might not be such a good thing for an actor. However, I think he is pretty good in most of his roles and Martin Scorsese likes him so it says a lot:) On the other hand I think Brad Pitt is a good actor too but is better for comedies than serious roles. I say its 50-50.

Vice-versa Leo couldn't have pulled off some of Pitt's roles.
I liked DiCaprio's performance in The Aviator better than I liked any of Pitt's performances, but most of Pitt's good performances are better than any of DiCaprio's other ones. I guess I'd say I like them about equal.
I'd agree.Disagree. I would say they fill about the same calibur of actor. Obiously different roles, but there ability are about the same.

I actually don't understand how Pitt ever managed to build an acting career. He plays the exact same two roles in every movie he's in. Ever notice that in almost every single decent movie he's been in, another actor carries the film? Seven, Twelve Monkies, Snatch, Fight Club, Babel...Probably the best movies he's been in, and he didn't star in any of them.
Di Caprio has flaws in his work, but at least he's charismatic enough to support a character.
Same. I've seen him star in some pretty good movies more recently. I don't think Brad Pitt is that amazing.I disagree.
