playing different roles doesnt make you a better actor....doing a role well is what makes you a good actor...brad pitt is no where near DiC...i would put johnny depp above brad alsoCan we agree that Brad is a much better actor than Leonardo?
Why?
Brad can actually ACT in my different rolls and he pulls em off fairly well... while Leonardo has the same rolls over and over again.

No. Just no. :|agreed, but its pretty damn close
with that said, Matt Damon > Brad Pitt or Leonardo Dicaprio
...since we're talking about holyywood pretty boys. Matt Damon knows how to have a laugh at his expense, something the other two have yet to maste.r

Well for one, i have only started to like Leo in the past few years because he has gotten out of the titanic type romance movies and gotten into movies i find more interesting.
As Leo couldnt have played tyler durden and achilles in fight club and Troy i dont think that Brad could have played the same character that Leo played in gangs of New york and Inception.
However i think Brad could have pulled off Leos role in The Departed while i think Leo could have pulled off Brads role in Benjamin Button.
Thats all my opinion and i think they are both great actors who produce solid performances in great movies.
Leonardo DiCaprio has a MUCH better resume, though.
Aviator, Departed, Shutter Island, Gangs of New York, What's Eating G.G., Quick and the Dead, Inception, Catch Me If You Can..
Even as bad as "Titanic" is, it was still the highest grossing movie for over a decade, and is the kind of movie superstars are supposed to have - that one role that boosts them to superstardom. Tom Cruise had Top Gun, Will Smith had Independence Day (movie wise), Harrison Ford had Raiders of the Lost Ark, Tom Hanks had Big and Forrest Gump... Brad Pitt has really nothing. He has a great resume too - Fight Club, Twelve Monkeys, Benjamin Button, Seven, Kalifornia, Basterds... but when it comes down to it, Brad Pitt seems more like a "supporting actor" than the main superstar. His best 2 movies - Seven and Fight Club, he isn't even really the main character (arguable, but still). On the other hand, Leonardo has stuff like Aviator, Inception, Blood Diamond - I'll even say Titanic because he was a huge (think 60%+) reason for its success.
It's really hard to say, but I give to Leo just because he is a bigger superstar and I think a better actor (more nominations for example). After Titanic, Leo could've went to make more special effects blockbusters - he was offered The Matrix for example - but chose a different route and went more dramatic.
Brad Pitt sucks. Unless you're going by looks, Leo is better in every way (the looks thing is debatable).
