BREAKING!: 3 major internet cables being cut in the mediterranean sea WT#?

third cable went offline today.wtf is happening.

all net is down in IRAN.

there is only one cable left for comms btw Europe and middle east and south Asia.If it goes down then all the internet in that area would stop.

i say something is fishy.This could be a prelude to war or an alien invasion or a cataclysm event.

also Israel and Iraq are having no problems.

Well to start, the interent would not shut down, most places have their own servers and are connected to the phone companies within the country so having a cable cut in the ocean isnt going to affect the majority of the ineternet within any country. Atleast thats my theory.

Plus, i live in the US so i could care less.

Your basing this theory off of what? Your ignorance? Are you aware of how the internet works? Just havening servers in their country wouldn't mean they would have access to the internet. Those servers still have to communicate with other servers. Maybe you should read up on the technology behind the internet.

Well, personally I find it rather unlikely that there's only like one small group of cables connecting the Middle East to Europe. Worst case the connection would just have to take a detour through Asia or Africa or whatever. I don't see how they could cut off Iran entirely just be slicing three cables. And of course that's ignoring satellite connections and the like.
