Oh, being a Van Damme fan, I don't doubt that for a micro-second.

im of an older generation that can appreciate the greatness of some times...I agree BL was a great martial artist...no doubt. BUT he wasnt unstopable.Jackie Chan?Jet Li? and sure, even VanDamm might get enough good shots in, to beat him? never know?? Everyone has their weakness..BL fighting is old. Its evolved to another level now. People do things now that make him look like Jerry Lewis..AGAIN, dont forget how much the cenima plays a part in making someone look better than they are. AND his personal reps also talked him up..it was their job.
I'm old too.
You cannot even spell Van DAMME.
Damn.
Bruce Lee would smash him every time.
sorry bro..didnt realize i was being graded on my spelling..next time i'll try harder..and I doubt he would "smash" him..beat him? maybe..People like to think of vanDAMME as a pretty boy, movie bad@zz...but in real life he knows how to fight..and has won his share of meetings..

Don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE Bruce Lee fan and have seen almost all his movies, but I'd bet money that he wouldn't dominate as much as people put him out to be...I don't think his style would be practical...maybe make a few changes lol idk:P

If you were a real fan you would know he didn't really have a style, he used whatever worked in whatever situation he was in.
If thats your way of saying he was very adaptive then ok, but to say he didn't have a style......Lol:P
Whatever, I'm sticking with my opinion.

I'm saying that Jeet Kune Do is a philosophy, not really a style.
[QUOTE="sonicare"]Get destroyed? Even though he has no ground game, he could develop one. Also, as fast as people say Bruce Lee was, you wouldn't think that would be an advantage? This. He would likely get destroyed. MMA has evolved as a sport and most fighters need to work on several aspects of their game.

He was in disturbingly good shape and was disproportionately strong for how big he was, (he'd probably be middle or welter weight) hitting like a heavy weight.
Yeah he'd be behind, but like everybody else, he could study and practice new martial arts.
