Burger King admits it has been selling beef burgers containing horsemeat

why would you people who eat fast food have issue with this?

And they use very little beef in their hamburgers. That combined with how cheap beef is in the US (thanks to ginormous government subsidies) is why they can sell them so cheap.

Maybe thats why Burger King is better than McDonalds. :P

Anyway, I dont know why the consumers would even trust those establishments. When I go there I always know I risk eating things I'm not supposed to. I only trust that they at least make whatever it is they are feeding me not harmful for my health.

Whew.  I thought there were things in there far worse than horse.

Is this just in the UK? Horse meat is typically really expensive.

I'm glad they came out about it - we had our suspicions before, but hearing it from the horse's mouth is another thing entirely.
