[QUOTE="MoonSpoon"]

[QUOTE="Ranger_x8b"]We didn't vote him in. The Electoral College screwed us over.jodamn

I expect the same thing to happen next year. The Electoral College is a terribly flawed system.

If you think we should do away with the electoral college and go with popular voting instead, check out the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" (wiki) I know, it's a mouthful. :D

It's a proposal to change our system to one where the candidate who wins the popular vote always wins the election. Individual states can choose to ratify the agreement, but it doesn't come into effect unless a certain number of total states choose to ratify.

the crazy thing about the electoral college is the electors are in no way obligated to vote for the candidate that wins their state. obviously, the winning party is going to pick an elector that will vote for their candidate, but there's nothing to stop the electors from staging a coup and voting for someone else.

We didn't really elect him. Theres a whole conspiracy behind it which I don't feel like explaining. But I see 9-11 as just an excuse to get into Iraq to get oil.

Or weapons of mass destruction.

And the weird thing is, I bet no one will belive it despite it being live on TV when I first saw it. I swear America has become a bunch of easily led automatons, I'm getting the hell out of this country.

You would get out of the US until you hear other countries problems... then it sounds even they all have there problems, if we didn't go to iraq, economy would crap itself since you have idiots running oil down there, at least the US is smart enough in trying to prevent disasters, controlling N.korea is another..

Another "Bush-bashing, America sucks" thread basically eh? Well, I for one think that Bush isn't an idiot, he isn't behind 9/11, and of course Iraq had nothing to do w/ 9/11. He got info that said they have WMD's, that's why we went in. To stop that from becoming a serious problem. Although they didn't find any WMDs...

Everyone should have known from day one that Iraq had nothing to do with 911. In fact.. 911 wasn't even a horrible event compared to what happens in other countries. We just ignorantly turn our head though of thousands of people losing their lives in other areas of the world.. but when it happens here.. oh no, can't let that happen. Because Americans are special and privliged(not). I am American by the way, and I feel strongly about this opinon. I'm not insenstive to those who've lost lives. I cannot begin to understand what they are feeling, nor should I.

*yawn*

Not another one of these fake "I'm leaving the country" rants. They say they'll leave but they never do.

Americans didn't elect him, the electoral college did though. The first time anyway.
