The Poem is Oh, When I Was in Love with You by A.E. Houseman. I am trying to find different opinions on what happens, line by line. I was hoping to have some different opinions on it (its for a project). Thanks to advance to anyone that deides to help out. Here it is:

(!st Stanza)

Oh, when I was in love with you,

Then I was clean and brave,

And miles around the wonder grew

How well did I behave.

(Final Stanza)

And now the fancy passes by,

And nothing will remain,

And miles around they'll say that I

Am quite myself again.

An optimistic man looks over his past?
