I weigh 175 and can max out at 245 on a good day. Usually aound 235. I can rep my own weight anywhere from 10-12 times depending on how I feel.

That's after 3 years of lifting though and 16 months in the Army. When I first started out, my max was less than my body weight :|

I know that with my legs I can easily "bench press" more than 300 pounds, but bench press with my arms....??? No idea, but I doubt I would be able to bench press 220 pounds, it seems high, but, like I said, I never bench pressed as you intend it, just with my legs and other things with arms, but that are not exactly bench press, so I really have no idea, maybe I would be able to, maybe not.

I weigh 135 and I can bench press 155 lbs for 8 reps. I have yet to see how high I can go on a single rep though.

Bench press? I dunno. I stopped after high school and instead just practice martial arts and do it without machinery like benches. I can do 2 finger (only the index and thumb for both hands) pushups and one-handed pushups now if that's any way to scale it. I'm 6'2 and 170 lbs.

I wish I could. I actually have never tried. I need someone to teach me how to work out, actually. I'm going to get my sister's boyfriend (who was/is the manliest guy at my school for years) to teach me how to do it correctly.

Yes, actually.

I'm 15, weigh 160, and can bench 170 as my max one rep.

I don't bench press per se, because I have no one to spot me and I'm afraid of reaching muscle failure...

But on the incline bench machine I do 2*10 with 3 plates of 45pounds on each side...

I can bench press more than twice my weight. I am incredibly strong for my weight cIass. My sophomore year in high school I was the lightest starting offensive lineman in the state of Colorado at 135 pounds. I have also been a varsity shot-putter since my freshman year. I am about to start my senior year in high school. I currently weigh 155 pounds and I was able to bench press 325 pounds at my last max test.

I don't believe that for a second. 10 reps at 350 pounds would put your max bench press at around 470 pounds, which is absolutely unheard of for someone who weighs 140 pounds.

I'm 205 and can only bench 95 at the most.

One of my friends who I was at the gym with told me that was pretty bad, since guys should be able to bench their weight.

So can you, and how much?

volgin_101

It is pretty low, but it's easy to see gains if you work out. I first bench pressed in 9th grade during basketball conditioning for my HS team, and I could only do 95 lbs and I weighed about 130 lbs.

I'm in college now and I'm still thin (I weigh 145 lbs now) but I bench about 170-180 lbs now.... I never really worked out regularly up until this past year at college either.

I weigh 245-250lbs, and I can bench this much. I dislike being fat, especially at the age of 15.

Edit: Oh crap...I haven't worked out for a month or two, and now my max bench is only around 235. I need to start working out again...
