Im a meat eater and i for one never know what they put in chicken burgers. I heard that most of the stuff you get from fast food places has traces of connective tissue, E numbers and loads of other things i have never even heard of which is quite worrying to be honest.

So the question im trying to ask is do you trust whats in your food?

I trust what I cook myself. As for McDonalds and other fast food places... I've had them, and I am still alive. Even if it was made with Iguana meat or something, as long as I don't know and don't fall ill, I am fine.

There's a reason that fast food is so cheap... and it isn't because they include quality ingredients.

I didn't trust my food when I kill it, and I don't trust it when I eat it.

I work with fresh food, and thus I know some of the stuff that goes on. Honestly I'd rather not no and go on presuming what I eat is what I think it is ... it hasn't killed me yet

No...you really can't trust ANY food (except that which you produced yourself) -almost all beef and chicken has been infused with hormones and/or steroids -almost all produce has been doused in chemicals It is really scary what all is in food that most people don't ever even think about

No, it is foolish to trust what is in your food. For more information, see "how they make hotdogs". However, if you never question what it is you are eating, then you live in ignorance. Ignorance, my friend, is very bliss.

I've never gotten sick from eating fast food. I have gotten sick from eating at some upscale restaurants. I think mistrust of fast foods is pretty silly. They want your business, why would they do anything to drive you away?

There are "who knows whats" put in our food. Some say there are extra ingredients put in fast food to make us hungry and even get fat. But there are a lot of people who eat fast food, and as long as they don't eat it everyday, it usually isn't a serious issue.

I read the book 'Natural Cures' by kevin trudeau -the guy sure does love his tinfoil hat -but it is a good read as long as you keep in mind the fact that he is only presenting the most extreme view possible Despite his extreme stance, he managed to change my life, the way I look at food, what I will/will not put into my body

Have you seen his latest infomercials? Interesting information I must say. Is the government really like that? A doctor goes to jail if he doesn't cure cancer by using chemo therapy or radiation?

Fast food is cheap because food, in general, is cheap. Most of the cost of fast food is labor. Ten years ago I paid $4.75 for a double-quarter-pounder meal, now it's $7.50. The price of meat hasn't gone up by an appreciable amount, but the minimum wage has gone up two or three bucks since then.

dog64

On this particular issue, I would advise chatting with user BiancaDK
-she knows a great deal about treating diseases and cures that are 'kept hidden'
-I had a pm from her with details concerning one particular instance, but I accidently deleted my inbox (hit delete all, instead of delete checked)

I'll keep her in mind. My dad died of pancreatic cancer, but I always wondered if something else could have been done besides the treatments he got.

But I will say that IMO there are always other things out there...I would try anything possible if it were me...stuff in natural cure books, etc

Thank you. If, heaven forbid, I were to get something later in life, I would try to reach out to other possibilities, even if I have to travel out of the country. It's always encouraging to hear of people who are getting cured from cancer and other serious diseases, without surgery or drugs. It's a shame though that the U.S. government seems to care more about the money.

I work at a restaurant, and I can definitely say no :). People make mistakes all the time, or are just really tired and careless. I'm sure this is no surprise, but it's still shocking when it's right in front of you.

You've gotta be careful about that kind of stuff. For every "natural remedy" that sometimes sort of works, there are a hundred snake oil salesmen ripping people off by promising them a miracle cure.

Yeah, that's true. You have to know who you're dealing with, but there are "miracles" out there. You just have to be lucky enough to be one of them.

If you don't make it yourself with fresh ingredients, you can't completely trust it. Though for the most part you won't find harmful substances in food - there are outbreaks of salmonella in items that shouldn't have it (namely fresh veggies) but most foods are policed heavily and outside of some imported products I wouldn't worry about it. The only foods that worry me are those that are imported from China and some other Asian countries - their regulations are far more lax, and restrictions on imports (in Canada at least) aren't quite as stringent as domestic products, particularly on fruits or other items that store pesticides. Ever wonder why Chinese mandarins are so much cheaper than Japanese mandarins? Yeah.

the whole state of mass production of meat products around the world.. is a serious problem and it's only going to get worst.
