[QUOTE="Turbopre08"]well i used to be somebody that would listen to nothing but hardcore rap but my art teacher got me interested in rock. she is a very energetic person and she would always put on rock music and she played jimi hendrix and got me interested. as of now I listen to three days grace, linkin park and that is pretty much it so can someone recommend me some rock?FUBAR24

What do you mean by rock? Its like very wide notion. Linkin Park isnt rock its nu-metal, so you also listen to metal or?

how is linkin park nu-metal, thats like calling My Chemical Romance pop

Well... the newest album isnt really nu-metal but earlier albums were except that tecno album they made.

And what did you think its heavy or something or death metal?

no i think of them as more alternative than anything. although if i were going to classify them into a metal genre id be liek rap-metal but not nu-metal

Its was actually rap metal/nu-metal. But you are right because nowadays it is alternative.
