Obviously the reason I made this thread is not because I am interested in your knowledge about "art" but to ridicule modern "art".
Your opinion?

9/11 correct lol. Certain works I do visually enjoy, but I don't hold them very highly as "art". chaplainDMKI did worse than you, I only got 8/11 correct. But yeah...it's not that hard to see the difference. For the most part, the modern art seems more organized and less random, and the strokes and splotches seem more deliberately placed.

The fact that no one yet got a full score (got 8/11 as well). With Rembrandt, Dali, Van Gogh, Monet etc. etc. there is no question that it's not made by a spoiled little brat. I really had to think to get 8/11 on this one.

Anyway, even though I missed a few, I also don't know $hit about painting or "modern art". It'd probably be a lot more obvious (in most cases) to someone who actually knows and understands what they're looking at and how to read it. Having to think about whether a painting is painted by some dumb kid or a professional artist is pretty sad.
So does my 2 year old when you hand him a crayon.Ha I got 6. I don't want to discredit these artists though, they probably put a lot of thought into what they do.

Are you trying to attack modern art or modern art styles? Two very different things. If you're talking about modern art, I couldn't disagree with you more.

So toddlers who paint are spoiled little brats? That's a really interesting leap you're making.

No just toddlers in general7/11. If I have to take a decent look at something to tell that it wasn't made by a toddler, I'm not considering it art.
I actually got about half of those wrong. Not that I think that's a bad thing. I used to make these abstract black and white compositions and I would always create the preliminary work on the computer, but constructing them visually were never as easy as randomly putting things together, which is very easy to do and undo on Adobe Illustrator. It would take days and sometimes weeks. For one to slap something together and have it look good is actually rare and if one's lucky enough to pull that off more often than not, then I'd tell them to run with it as long as they can and sell those damn things. Just because it looks like anybody could do it technically, however, doesn't necessarily mean anybody will communicatively.
