1. Ticket prices

2. Food/snack prices

3. People that talk throughout the movie

4. People that yell things out trying to be funny when they're really not

5. People that keep their phones out without trying to cover it and having the brightness all they way up

6. People that reserve entire rows of seats when the theater is getting packed

7. Sitting next to kids during a sex scene (there were 2 girls around 10 who were watching Watchmen, and they kept saying "ewww eww ewwww" and trying to cover their eyes)

8. Sitting behind tall people

9. People's phones ringing during a movie (low on the list because its only happened once)

10. People talking on the phone (also only happened once)

[QUOTE="Vespiion"]

Every time I go to the movies I somehow always end up behind the teenage couple that do NOTHING but make out for the whole freaking movie and moan like they're getting it on. You know who you are.

Niff_T

I've never actually seen that in a movie theater, though I'd imagine it'd piss me off if it was like the situation you described.

Most people who are going to make out sit near the back. That way, there's less chance of someone yelling, "get a room!"

The price of the munchies is ridiculous. Loud people and babies are annoying too. That's mostly it.

1. The price of the tickets 2. The price of the snacks 3. Obnoxious teenagers that travel in packs 4. People who kick your chair the whole time 5. People who whisper throughout the entire movie 6. People who ask too many questions throughout the movie 7. People who gasp and scream and react to EVERYTHING 8. When people bring little kids or babies in and completely ruin everything 9. Having to be assaulted by a million commercials before the previews even start 10. People who use their phones during the movie and think that they're being sneaky even though the whole front row is glowingt3hrubikscube
I hate 3-6 the most. Especially 3 and 6(Funny since I'm still a teenager). All the times I go to the movies with my parents and that's it. The teenagers I see just make me want to laugh.

Yes, because someone actually spends 200+ dollars on snacks at a theatre. Seriously now don't be stupid.

What I meant was, the last time I was at the theatre (which was over a year ago now, I prefer to watch a movie at home) I seen a "Two medium popcorn and two medium sodas for 20$!!!" as if it was a deal. That's...a joke. Besides the last few times I was at a theatre, I got no snacks.

9. Very very cold aircon

10. Loud-mouthed seatmates

Nope. All I got is high food prices, morons, cell phones. Everything else is great. The key to avoiding morons is to either go before 6 PM or after the movie has been around a couple weeks.

One thing that really gets to me are the anti piracy signs and trailers. I have seen 1000s of movies in my life. They have made heaps of cash off me. Yet this is how they repay me? By treating me like a crook ? I go to the movies to get out the house and have fun. I don't go to the theater to be threaten and intimidated . I hate seeing videos like "would you steal a car? Then why steal movies?" Or showing a man in a jail cell for filming a movie he paid to see .

1. I hate people that take phone calls in the middle of the movie. That's just exceptionally rude. If you want to talk, leave the theatre room.

2. I hate sitting behind some tall person who blocks my view. Especially when the theatre is virtually empty, yet they decide to sit in front of me.

3. I hate people that buy a crap load of food and then proceed to munch on it right behind me. Close your mouths, you slobs!

4. I hate people that talk loudly during movies.

5. I hate people who bring babies or small kids to R moves. WTF?!?!

6. I hate being late to a movie.

7. I hate long lines and people that have no clue what they want to see when they get to the register.

8. I hate people who shout out during movies. They aren't funny.

9. I hate that movie refreshments prices are jacked up about 300-500%.

10. I hate dirty theatres.

i havent been to a movie theater in years, dont plan to. Waste of time and money in my opinion. I dont need to spend money to go somewhere with a bunch of random people and sit in the dark staring at a massive screen. Not even HD for gods sake, too many stupid commercials, trailers, all the BS. Every movie these days is just a bunch of hollywood flicks with big C.G.I bills and dim witted spray tanned actors. screw that

Luckily, a friend works at Odeon and so we can watch films for free and get a 40% discount on food and drink. The other day it cost us £2.00 each for a large Coke each. :D

CBR600-RR

My friend works at the movie theater too. We get to go watch movies for free, and not only that, if we bring our own cups and a bowl as well we get free pop/popcorn.

The prices, though my local movies, I can bring in outside food so I just buy McDonals.
The huge stairs/steep ramp required to ascend to get to the cinema.

That is all I can really think of. The chairs are comfy, not many people go to the movies there so it is generally really quiet.

Not sure I can think of 10, but here's a few 1. Overpriced snacks and drinks. Yeah I understand that most of a theater's profit comes from concession sales, but they'd sell a hell of a lot more if they kept the prices reasonable; maybe we'd stop smuggling in food 2. Screaming babies. I would never in a million years dream of taking my infant son to a theatre; please give me the same courtesy

I'll try.

1. Uncomfortable seats
2. A crowded theater
3. People that talk during a movie, constantly
4. People that scream loud
5. People that laugh loud
6. People that eat loud
7. Tall people, infront of me

That's all I can think of right now.

1- The prices of popcorn and candy
2- People who talk and comment on the movie
3- People who answer cellphones or forget to turn them off
4- People who arrive late and pass in front of you during an important scene
5- People who bring babies or very young children into the theater
6- Teenagers

I think I have ran out of things to hate. :P

Well I don't go to movie theaters but when I did the only thing that bothered me was the price of a ticket. The food is optional and typically people on phones diden't bother me. I guess I would add crying children though as that used to grate on my nerves after awhile

These are in no particular order:

1. Babies

2. People with laser pointers

3. Overpriced food

4. Parents being irresponsible, letting their kids run around

5. When the dude in the seat next to met tries to talk to me

6. Sticky floors

7. Blurry screens

8. The fact that they show actual commercials before the movies, not just movie trailers like the good ol' days

9. When my seat leans waaaay too far back, almost like I'm laying down

10. When people clap when cool/funny/amazing/great/awesome things happen during the movie, it's too distracting

I'm going to add in an eleven.

11. When people put their feet on, or kick the back of my seat

1. Overpriced food. 2. Stupid, annoying kids who talk and fight about food and other stuff. 3. Crying babies. 4. People kicking your chair. 5. People who text. 6. People who talk to each other in a loud voice. 7. People who scream really loud if something scary happens. 8. Advertisements. 9. People when something serious happens. 10. People.Immortal--

1. People kicking the back of your seat... I deal with that as soon as it happens more than three times, usually a spin around with the most horrible look I can throw makes sure it doesn't happen again.

2. People talking very loud, such as a large group... on more than several occasions I have had to tell people to shut up in a packed out cinema, but I don't mind it feels good man.

3. People wrestling with a snack that has to have the most ridcously loud packaging... usually I just look at them till they notice me staring.

4. People texting... just annoying but nothing major.

5. People making noises that coincide with the movie... such as last night in Paranormal Activity 2, some loud woman the most ridiculously loud nervous laugh because she was actually bricking her pants. Really ruined the tension for me.

6. Overpriced Drinks etc.

Overpriced snacks. Seriously. Especially as you're banned from taking food into my local cinemas.

Abstract_Toast
I think snacks are the only way movie theaters make money, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Price of a ticket, adds before the movie, cell phones, people talking, people chomping on popcorn, the seats, kids, people in general, lack of leg room...all I can think of right now.

1-10. Everything about it except the film quality.

And somewhere, right this second, there's some exec pulling his hair out thinking "Why don't people go to movie theaters anymore!?"

Cherokee_Jack
Actually, I believe the amount of people going to theaters has really only been going up. :P

"Please God, keep 3D popular..."

I don't know if that's true, I do know the prices of tickets have gone up.... a lot.

3. People who applaud and cheer a freggin movie screen

4. Parents that bring their 5 year old daughter to a rated R movie...

Crazy Prices, big lines, a lot of noise during the movie, some asshats always text messaging infront of you (like seriously with the money they have to spend you'd think they'd watch the damn movie)

and pretty much everything else you listed

I stopped going(regularly) to the movies 4 years ago, but the time i went to watch slumdog millonaire there was this guy behind with his wife trying to sound all smart by answering the questions they made in the game, i almost punched him when they asked about the president in the 100 dollar bill and he said Abraham Lincoln.

Mostly just groups of teenagers that frequent the theather. They are loud, rude, use their cell phones during the whole movie, some who throw popcorn all over the theater. Kick the back of your seat constantly. Most of my bad theater experiences involve teenagers in packs.

prices are my number one hate to going to the theater, everything from the ticket to the concessions... that pretty much sums up what I hate most about the theater
