I have no problem watching horror movies alone, but it's a whole lot more fun with my wife snuggled up with me :D

[QUOTE="omho88"]Sounds like your a scaredy cat.I dun believe those who claim they can. it's either the movie isn't scary or they didn't follow the whole plot from the begining so they aren't into the movie ..... I claim I am a brave person, and yet the idea of watching horror movies alone terrifies me.

Yes, with the lights off too.

Not only can I watch them alone, and in the dark, they don't really scare me at all. I don't want to say it's because of more effects or anything, it could be, but I've just watched so many that they don't really have much effect except for the jump factor. But as far as creeping me out or not being able to watch, that's just silly to me now. I think it's a combination of watching so many, seeing more cg rather than unseen, and seeing a lot of gore, which has desensitized me. I heard there was some new show coming out called American Horror or something in October that some of the critics had to leave. Something about ghosts and disturbing images. What a bunch of pansies. Don't sound like they're good critics to me. Maybe I should critique. Pay me money to watch films and tell you whether they suck or not. I would be the one disagreeing with about 80% of the critics 90% of the time. Screw if it has all of the "elements" and in perfect place and transitions perfectly. Does it entertain me or not? Will it entertain others if you are a fan of (x) genre? That's really all you need. Making movies symbolic of something else is completely stupid. Like saying the zombies in Dawn of the Dead represented misguided consumers who go like zombies through the malls every weekend. -OR- They could just be zombies that wanted to chomp down on some flesh of those that chose to run there to hide. So much overthinking and telling people movies suck that don't and then they tank, while promoting some b.s. romance set in World War II. Enough. I could go on and on. The funny thing, it was about watching horrors or not. Individual rants and arguments can go anywhere, just like reading an original post and then reading what's on page 8 of this forum. Completely off topic and different half the time. LOL
alone, in a dark basement, on a stormy night, in a house miles away from anything else. I'll watch it, no fear 8)
In fact, I always see them alone since I'm the only one in my family who enjoys them and it's my favorite movie genre :)

Really?:o
yes. :| Serious Sounds tempting...:oops:I generally watch movies alone anyways so I'm fairly used to watching horror films as well even if they're films that are immersive enough that I feel a bit edgy afterwards in the late of the evening. I tend to prefer watching films on my own as it is unless it's a martial arts or blaxploitation film in which case I like to have a couple of friends on hand if possible as they're expertise is very welcome.
.... ... for who? I didn't realize that was an offer? .... ... :| I took it as an offer :P.[QUOTE="Michael0134567"]Sounds tempting...:oops:sandlot76
I can since I don't find them scary, just disturbing.
I still haven't fully recovered from seeing Child's Play all those years ago.
