Canada has a better National Anthem than America (no bias)

Reasons.

1: The Music to the American National Anthem is actually not American. It's British...
2: Canada probably has the happiest Anthem in the world.

Another happy National Anthem is the Mongolian National Anthem. Worst Anthems are probably Turkey for being slightly evil and Israel for being too depressive.

The Russian National Anthem is even better.

I don't like America's national anthem simply because the lyrics have nothing to do with the country.

I'm Canadian and I hate the national anthem. It's so stupid and uninspired- it really needs to be changed. National anthems should make you proud of your country, and Canada's just makes me disappointed.

I personally love China and Russia's national anthems. They're inspirational and Russia's especially makes me proud of my Russian roots :3

I agree with everything you said. I alway gringe when I hear the french version of the canadian anthem. Horrible translation of an already horrible anthem.

It represents that the nation still stands. They looked for the flag to see if the territory is still theirs. Also in Iwa Jima they rose a flag showing victory.

The pledge of Allegiance is more of a tribute but the flag represents everything the nation stands for.

Good choice. They already sing God Bless America at baseball games, so perhaps that'd be a less jarring change?

It pretty much just talks about what the writer saw when he watched a battle in the War of 1812. I think the end is pretty good though when done right.
