Casey Anthony trial is underway

And it's getting pretty crazy.

I think the defense's case is ludicrous. If this truly was a drowning accident, why in the hell would Casey take so long to reveal this when she's facing death? Why would there be ducktape around Cayley's mouth? Why would those searches for chloroform and home made weapons and neck breaking be on the family computer? What would be the motivation to hide a drowning accident? It's just all so desperate and I think it's gonna raise more questions about the defense than reasonable doubt.

And the accusations that the grandfather of Caley molested Casey simply reek of desperation IMO. Basically, it just seems like they're throwing him under the bus to try and justify her lies and strange behavior.

Hope this can be presented in court.

I've been watching it... pretty interesting so far.

I think the prosecution will get their verdict for two reasons.

a) Baez basically used the molestation angle to explain why Casey has become such a liar. But if he calls her a chronic liar, then how can he ask the jury to believe her now?

b) Now that Baez has put both the drowning and molestation out there, Casey will have to take the stand. She's the only one that can explain the molestation angle without resorting to hearsay, which is not permissable. The problem is that if Casey does take the stand, the prosecution is going to grill me mercilessly and there's several pitfalls for her to fall in, which is why they are not having her take the stand right now. She's her own worst enemy in this case.

I think she'll be convincted, but probably won't get the death penalty, probably LWOP.

I hope she gets the death penalty.

She's probably planning a party right now if she gets away with murdering her own kid.

I'm not going to say whether or not I think she's guilty because I haven't been following the case and don't know how much evidence they have against her. However, from what I do know about the case I can almost guarantee that if she is acquitted some vigilante will probably try to take justice in their own hands after she is released.

Obviously guilty mother is obviously guilty. She'll be found guilty, she'll get life w/o parole and then be released in 4 years based on some bizarre precedent after everybody forgets about the case and the sensationalist media personalities start talking about the next tragically murdered person.

I heard bits and pieces such as the allegations that Lee molested his sister when they were younger and also the father did things to her too which is crazy dunno if that stuff is true or not.

What they need to do do is put her in jail for good for the rest of her life.
