While I do not believe in the death penalty, I do hope she gets locked up for a long time.

They've already shown she can't tell the truth, so what point would the defense have to put her up there? No one would believe anything she says.

see, i don't understand that. If i was on trail for the death of my daughter I would get on that chair and tell my side of the story. You just don't go out like that.

That would make you...well, prety much an idiot. Testifying on your own behalf doesn't mean you just sit up there and tell your side of the story. It also means you subject yourself to all kinds of questions from the prosecution. Once you choose to testify, you can't invoke your Fifth Amendment right selectively or you will be held in contempt of court and sanctioned or put in jai anyway. In 99% of all cases, the defense attorney's first word of advice to the defendant is to shut the hell up.

haha some kid is going to be held in contempt of court for flipping the bird to the prosecution.

LJS9502_basic

Fine probably....

Man held in contempt for courtroom gesture got 6 days with a $400 fine and $223 court costs and decided to appeal. There were pictures of him doing so and he admits he has read the sign posted on the courtroom door and that the deputies have told them that such stuff was prohibited.

This is the best news of the whole case.
