Nice, you can post pictures of animals. Excellent point..Nuck81

Some people mainly don't like them as they're allergic to cat hair. And they do tend to leave hair wherever they sleep, as well as having the tendency to scratch at things (not that similar things don't happen with indoor dogs).
I guess that's mostly it, really?
I personally like both. I have a dog and two cats... they all live outside under the veranda in kennels with each other (seriously, one of the cats dribbles and malts like crazy...).
[QUOTE="Nuck81"]Nice, you can post pictures of animals. Excellent point. It was the best response to your strawman post about pet neglect. I guess it was your only course of action after losing the cats showing affection discussion..MrGeezer
I don't get why everyone just doesn't get a cat and a dog. It's cute when you see them sleeping ontop of each other or play fighting.FrostyPhantasmLots of people don't have any business owning either, let alone both. Regardless, thinking it's cute when they sleep together is a pretty bad reason to get an animal.

Obviously 70% of people out there shouldn't own any living thing let alone a kid or dog. This includes people who get a dog then put it in a kennel for 10 hours a day, leave their dog outside in the backyard 24/7, never wash their dog/cat, lack of feeding, people who shout and chase their pets when they do something wrong.
In any case, I've been arguing for the well being and safety of pets right since the beginning of this thread, something I don't recall you even addressing once. MrGeezer"Think of the Kitties!" Weren't you arguing that cats who follow their owners, constantly rubbing against them, purring, and kneeding their owners, dont actually care about their owners, and would rather be off by themselves? Your initial point was "They don't want friends, they don't want companions." Strange how you now claim that's somehow related to an argument regarding their health and safety.

No, my initial point was that wanting a friendly animal is a piss poor reason for getting a cat. Try to keep up.

Herp Derp, animals dont love you if you beat them. I know you're old geezer, but use your brain.
