I got the invite, tried the beta. It looks like it's going to take some getting used to. I hope the quote format the beta uses isn't what the final version will use; it's extremely hard on the eyes, at least compared to what we have now.
The changes didn't seem to get rid of any features I use, so that's a plus. It was a bit hard on the eyes until I saw that the color inverter is still up in the corner.
Got an invite to the beta. Wonder if it's because I b!tched, or because they are giving them out like candy now. First impression of the homepage: It looks like every other fvcking website out there. -Forum pages load slowly (slower than old GS) and scrolling is kinda choppy (old is relatively smooth). -Topics look like complete sh!t. It's as bad as that blurry image makes it out to be. -Posting is straightforward and quite smooth. Something they actually got right. Am surprised.

Well, at least the front page looks better. But damn, I hope the reason for the slow server speeds is because its still in beta testing. I'm getting deja vu with the 2007-08 layout where it took 5-10 seconds to go from page to page. Otherwise, I don't have many complaints for the new layout....
I just got a PM inviting me to participate in the beta. It says to ignore the security warning? Is this real? Should I ignore it?

I just ignored the PM. Participating in betas is almost always frustrating, helping iron out the bugs - no thanks.
Maybe I'm just extra jaded about betas because the last time I participated in one was the time I got a Diablo 3 beta invite and felt special, only to have all my high hopes for the game crushed after an hour of playing it...
Profiles are better. Weird how they couldn't translate those aesthetics to the forums. I actually, really like the profiles. Very clean, very sleek and intuitive. Again, odd they couldn't make the forums better.
