To everyone saying we shouldn't let a murderer out. He never actually killed anyone, only told people to do it or influenced them to. It was their own doing, they didn't have to do it but chose to.

Everytime you hear of someone getting about 5 years for rape and murder, it's easy to hate the system.Or the billions of community services we give out

ever heard of a little thing called justice?
Unfortunately people have a convoluted image of justice these days- prisoners getting internet rights, weight-training sets, television, etc. If it were up to me, I'd just give all serious offendors a death sentence, problem solved.
And yet nations that give prisoners rights have a lower crime rate and lower rates of criminals commiting crimes again once released. I hope you are being sarcastic with your comment, because if not it's your thinking that makes the USA's justice system a joke. Punishment over rehab is a failed policy and America imprisons more of it's population than any first world nation....And has a higher crime rate.[QUOTE="Iridionprime"][QUOTE="sexyweapons"]

We just don't understand them, no one can, we should feel sorry for them while they stab us repeatedly in the face right? Nah, don't think so. Someone throw the switch on all those punks already. It's easy for people like you to sit on the sidelines preaching all these Platonic ideals of justice, that is, unti you experience something dreadful happen to someone you know.

It's called common sense, it's called not locking everybody away and throw away the key when better choices are out there. It's called knowing when something isn't working and having the intelligence to see that and try to change it. No sane person can deny that our justice system is broken and the Scandanavian ideal is better because it's proven to work better. It's your fault for not stating what a serious offender is and then getting ticked when somebody calls you out. You can argue the facts all you want, but they are still facts and our justice system doesn't work. Just don't run for office. They should use him on scared straight.FightingfanGive him a show on Fox News. Seriously, they should.

UK I take? Don't you have a lower crime rate over there? The US justice system is terrible, look at how many people we imprison compred to the population and our crime rate. It has solved nothing.[QUOTE="sexyweapons"][QUOTE="DarkOfKnight"] And yet nations that give prisoners rights have a lower crime rate and lower rates of criminals commiting crimes again once released. Smaller overall but that doesn't affect how the crime rate is tallied. Smaller overall population but the same sample size. When dealing with changing the system it is more around rehab for non violent crimes. Remember the USA has the largest percentage of it's population in jail and a very high crime rate. Our joke of a system hasn't scared anyone or made anyone more safe. Remember, we have a higher reoffense rate compared to scandanavian countries. You need some reform, but don't go towards a US system unless you want 25% of your people locked up and little to no rehabe so when they are free the chances of reoffense are high.[QUOTE="sexyweapons"][QUOTE="DarkOfKnight"] UK I take? Murder carries a mandatory life sentence in England and Wales...The U.S does have some rehab in certain prisons, but it must be earned. Those who do attend do in fact have a significantly lower re-arrest rate. Though, it depends on what you did to end up in prison anyway. Murderer's tend to not get to be able to do rehab, only burglars/drug dealers/etc.

No, for the same reason Charles Bronson shouldn't.D3nnyCrane
Do what???? What did Charles Bronson do and why would a dead actor be in prison?
Some of you people here act like Charles Manson actually murdered a family member of yours or something. Grow up seriously.
Manson is 77 years old. What's he gonna do to you besides yell at you to get off his nice lawn?
Most of his followers are long gone now or have new lives now.
You guys act like Charles Manson is gonna start his whole cult thing all over again or something.
Wow. Really?
He is where he deserves to be.... but... I still love his music.:Dhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpx4ODP35VQ&feature=relmfu
