Ehhh I'm skeptical. I saw this on the news the other day and if this isn't being overplayed then yes it is tragic but when I see it I can't help but thinking of Michael J. Fox bouncing around on his chair a few years ago during election time.

EVERYONE should know that taking ANY MEDICATION runs the risk of severe side effects. Even OTC pain relievers can cause things like chemical hepatitis. Besides unless you're very young, very old, work in a healthcare environment, or have a life threatening immune deficiency there is absolutely no need whatsoever to get a flu shot.

As others have no doubt said the flu shot (both seasonal and H1N1) is as safe as any other drug. This story -- while no less tragic -- is a one in a million chance.

Why are people afraid of the flu anyway. I've gotten the flu before. It goes away in 2 or 3 days....

honestly it's a little creepy and I hate the fact that I would probably sub consciously want to talk down to her but when she runs I would probably talk to her like a normal person. Uh... just sucks what happened to her.

Even though it's very anomolous for stuff like this to happen, it seems odd that I only first heard about it via Youtube. It's also starting to irk me how the major media outlets are trying to posit that getting the shot is a necessity.

The only thing I find funny about this is that many of you still will consider getting this shot. Brainwashing FTW.

Just ask the jackass who gives you the shot for the contents of the vaccine bottle. Get the list of contents and READ IT FIRST! Do it in front of the person who's administering this shot to you. I guarantee you both will likely be surprised, and I can almost guarantee the person giving the shot has NOT even read it.

Just remember this is not a mandatory shot aside from what you are probably hearing, you chances of getting piggy flu also go up after you get this shot. Remember a lot of people are putting the LIVE virus inside their bodies using the vaccine.

Personally there is no way I would use this vaccine. To each his/her own I guess but do some research first, most people just line up for fear alone and that is the wrong reason to get vaccinated.

Yeah, this story really got to me. All we've been hearing about is the knucklehead parents of "balloon boy." Hell, that story is getting more press than Afghanistan, Iraq, and healthcare reform combined.

It´s truly horrible if it is true. But I think this migth be a hoax.

This is exactly why I dont ever get flu shots or any other kind of injection unless completely necessary. Flu shots are pushed by the pharmecutical companies who manufacture the shots. Its all about money, not necessarily helping you out. The flu shot suppossedly only helps you against one strain of the flu anyway, and there are many different strains of the flu.

Lesson of the day, dont put any foreign body in your body because it will have adverse effects. I know the flu shot is suppossed to be "dead" but it is still foreign to your body and can cause something like what happened to this poor woman.

I was already on the edge to getting it before this video but she is a special case she had a genentic disorder so does'nt count to the rest of the population
