I used to like it really crispy, but no i like it crunchy, but still chewy. If its to crispy, you dont get the meaty flavor of the bacon.

Basically, you ruin it by making it only crispy. You lose flavor and a lot of the delicious juicy bacon goodness.

I disagree with chewy bacon... Ewww, it's left with a lot of the grease and it's not true that it loses flavor, only time I down mind my bacon being chewy is when it's on a burger or any other sandwhich, then it can be excused because it's with other elements. But when my bacon is on a side of eggs, grits, or pancakes, it had to be crispy.


But I guess crispy bacon is mainly a black thing, since you'd be hard press to find a black person who likes their bacon chewy.

Another thing, who advertises bacon as chewy? I meanw any commercial you see or ad you read, they always advertise it as crispy, flavorful, savory, or thin or thick strips, I have yet to see an ad advertising chewy bacon.

I prefer crispy bacon to chewy. Though semi-chewy bacon can be good at times, especially when eaten simultaneously with other foods (like, say a sandwich).
