3 murders in a town of 6,500? Yikes. Not sarcasm, 3 people being murdered in a city of less than 10,000 is a little scary. So 505 murders last year in a city of 2.7 million. The town in southern Illinois where my parents live has a population of like 6,500 and had 3 murders last year. I wonder what that murder rate would be.

[QUOTE="kingkong0124"][QUOTE="Rich3232"] who is that other dude, and what is the picture supposed to be conveying? Rich3232
Rahm Emanuel, the mayor of Chicago.
okay. can you answer the second part now? Rahm is Mayor of Chicago. Chicago is an extremely corrupt city. Barack Obama was illinois state senator 1997-2004. Barack Obama would have to be stupid to not know about all the bllsht that goes on in this city, which he was a big part of. This man is now president.[QUOTE="worlock77"]3 murders in a town of 6,500? It's really not that scary if you know the town. It should be noted that two of those murders were the same incident, and were from my understanding) drug related in some manner. But yeah, with no context it does sound scary. Basically what I was saying: it's easy to throw around numbers with no context to make a place sound bad.
[QUOTE="tocool340"][QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"]Not when many of said weapons are gained by illegal means.... Another notable thing about statistics within a city: You can leave those pretty easily and a gun bought outside that city that isn't illegal suddenly is illegal when brought into the city. As such I think going by statistics by city and then making a claim like gun control doesn't work. Period. Is an odd claim. Not to mention some gun shops affiliate themselves with some of the gangs on the street and provide off the book guns to them. How they were able to go about achieving this I do not know but I do know of a few shops that was mention by gang members during my time in high school.....And yet Chicago also has one of the most strictest gun control polices in the country. Guess it hasn't helped them out too well has it?
