Which version of Children of the Corn is better?
I've never seen Children of the Corn before and I need to decide which version to watch. The original or the remake. Any suggestions?

This. If you want to watch one that's similar to the short story then the remake is the one you need. If not, then go for the really campy original.Just read the short story. It's great.

Original. The remake is good, though, but strange and kinda awkward. Especially the scene where the older children have sex to procreate. In front of all the other children. And this one in the front is bouncing up and down all excited to watch.
When was the remake released? I've seen a few of them, but I don't know if it was the remake. lbjkurono23
2009, it was a made-for-tv movie. It differs a lot in the fact that the leading woman is black and the couple is interracial, which apparently was uncommon in the time the movie was supposedly set in. The original was made into a series, but if you're watching a movie where Vicky is black, you've got the remake.

that is something I actually didnt liked...not because of racism or anything, but seeing an interracial couple in those times (and not to mention...the kind of guy he was, you wouldnt expect him to be a person who believes in human equality) and the vicky of my childhood was white, not black. Please Log In to post.
