Children's cartoons that would be awesome with an M rating

So I was thinking about how much of a crappy trainer Ash Ketchum is, inspired by that other thread and I got to thinking, what if they replaced Ash with someone hardcore? What if there was a lot more violence and swearing and the sexual tension between characters like Ash and Misty and Brock and every other woman played out like in real life?

What if there were those crazy Pokemon battles where someone tried to kill your Pokemon and you fought for your lives, not just KO's?

What other kids shows tick you off with their inane storylines and need an M rating of AwesoMeness?

This is a really shallow mentality.

The particular rating for something doesn't make it good or bad. Oh, that show sucks, lets just add excessive violence, sex, language and that will fix it. What a really really poor way to look at media and art form in general.

Pokemon would rock balls if it was totally M content. Swearing, Team Rocket doing violent things that actually make a difference to Ash and his team. Misty being D cup. Have samuel L jackson voice Brock. Morphic

I can imagine Sam Jackson as Brock. Best Idea Ever. Team Rocket murdering Ash's mother and sending her head to him in a basket would make the show and subsequent games worthwhile.

Hell yes, that's what I'm talking about. Team Rocket doing real nasty gangster stuff. You could even have a spin-off of Jesse and James in a Pulp-Fiction style movie. With Pokemans.

Nice of you to try and patronise me, but sometimes part of the art form is in its gruesomeness, ala Kill Bill. Secondly, one could argue that upping the rating on the cartoon could allow for deeper, more realistic themes. You could have a nice juxtaposition of the surreal world of Pokemon mixed with adult situations, adult relationships and more down to earth themes than the happy-go-lucky world of children's programs.

But I suppose the internet is serious business for you and you're too much of a prude to enjoy some insane fan fiction about our childhood programs?

Yeah, I remember all of those. A mature Streets sharks and Mighty Max would be epic, but I think Gargoyles would still be boring either way. I think Johny Quest was already a little mature though.
